Vicarage Lane, Temporary Road Closure Due To Pole Replacement Works

What is happening?

Somerset Council Parish of Pawlett Temporary Closure of Vicarage Lane

Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, have made an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along Vicarage Lane -from the junction with River Road to the junction with Bristol Road. A total distance of 496 metres. This Order will enable R A Stacey's and Corehighways to carry out pole and overhead cable replacement works on behalf of National Grid Electricity Distribution.

The Order becomes effective on 21st October 2025 and will remain in force for 18 months. The works are expected to commence on 27th October 2025 and last until 31st October 2025 between the hours of 08:00 - 16:30 for a total of 5 days.
