Temporary Closures and Diversions of Public Rights of Way

As part of the pre-construction works for the East Anglia ONE North and East Anglia TWO Offshore Windfarms Farms, the following Public Rights of Way (PRoW) will be temporarily closed and diverted to allow for advance works including vegetation clearance, fencing, and archaeology.

The Byway Open to All Traffic (PRoW ref E-106/025/0), which runs from Sizewell Hall Road south-west in Aldringham cum Thorpe to PRoW ref E-106/024/0, will be affected by a reduced working width of 32.2 metres due to the presence of a hedgerow. A temporary diversion will be in place, either approximately 299 metres via TEMP2a looping to the south within adjacent fields, or approximately 360 metres via TEMP2b looping to the north within adjacent fields. Both diversion options run between points CS1-1 and CS1-2.

The bridleway (PRoW ref E-363/026/0), which links Halfway Cottages/Sizewell Gap Road to Sizewell Common and connects with PRoWs E-363/024/0, E-363/025/0, E-363/027, E-354/002/0 and E-363/028 in Leiston-cum-Sizewell, will be affected by a reduced working width of 32.2 metres due to the presence of an hedgerow. This bridleway will be crossed twice by the working width of 32.3 metres, and a temporary diversion of approximately 339 metres will be in place via TEMP3, looping south within the adjacent field between points CS1-3 and CS1-4.

The footpath (PRoW ref E-363/023/0), which forms part of the PRoW network linking Sizewell to Leiston and runs south-west from near Halfway Cottages on Sizewell Gap Road to the dismantled railway (PRoW ref E-363/024/0) will be affected by a working width of 64 metres. A temporary diversion of approximately 497 metres will be provided via TEMP7 between points CS2-7 and CS2-8. The diversion route follows the edge of the easement westward, crossing the access road to Access 2, then continues along the south side of the dismantled railway before rejoining the footpath to the south of CS2-8.

Maps showing these PRoW diversions and reference points will be erected on site. For more information about these works, please contact Community Liaison Officer, Reecia Cullen on 07393 250258 or email eastangliatwo@scottishpower.com
