TRAFFIC ORDER

On 20 October 2025, Angus Council made The Angus Council (C28 Dykehead - Glen Prosen) (Temporary Prohibition of Driving and Waiting) Order 2025, under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, so that the creation of passing places and carriageway works can be undertaken. The Order will come into force on 27 October 2025, from which date it is anticipated that the work will last for a period of eight weeks. However, the maximum duration in terms of the Act is 18 months. The effect of the Order is to prohibit the driving and waiting of vehicles on C28 Dykehead - Glen Prosen road from its junction with the C27 Kirriemuir - Glen Prosen road in a south-easterly direction for a distance of 8.3km or thereby. The alternative route for vehicular traffic is via C27 Kirriemuir - Glen Prosen, C25 Lintrathen - Prosen Bridge and B955 Kirriemuir - Clova roads. The reverse route applies. The road will not be closed permanently and access will be permitted at set times advertised on a local notice board. Full details of the Order are available at www.angus.gov.uk/trafficorders
