TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF

THE U6036 MARKET PLACE, MILDENHALL

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U6036 Market Place, Mildenhall from Sumo Sushi for 30 metres eastbound to facilitate a new water connection. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be High Street, Kingsway, King Street and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 21/10/2025 - but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF

THE U6428 IXWORTH THORPE ROAD, BARDWELL

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U6428 Ixworth Thorpe Road, Bardwell from 100 metres west of the junction with Church Road for 90 metres westbound to facilitate replacement of a parapet. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Bardwell Road, the A1088, Bardwell Road, Spring Road, School Lane and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 20/10/2025 - 24/10/2025 from 8am - 5pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE B1115 EAST STREET, SUDBURY

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the B1115 East Street, Sudbury from number 89 for 15 metres south westbound to facilitate gas works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion routes will be:

  1. East Street, Waldingfield Road, Northern Road, Newton Road, King Street, Market Hill, Gainsborough Street, Gregory Street, Gainsborough Road, Girling Street and no vice versa

  2. Girling Street, King Street, Market Hill, Gainsborough Street, Gregory Street, Gainsborough Road, Melford Road, Springlands Way, Waldingfield Road, East Street and no vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate on 19/10/2025 from 9am - 6pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY 40MPH SPEED RESTRICTION ON PART OF

THE A1141 CROSS GREEN AND THE A134 MAIN ROAD,

COCKFIELD AND BRADFIELD COMBUST

Suffolk County Council has made an order for a temporary 40 mph speed restriction on the following roads:

* the A1141 Cross Green, Cockfield from the junction with the A134 to Laurel House

* the A134 Main Road, Bradfield Combust from Silo to White Lodge.

This is to facilitate the installation of a fibre network. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

It is intended that these measures will operate from 20/10/2025 - 24/10/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

* U2334 Crag Path, Aldeburgh from the junction with King Street for

10 metres eastbound.

This is to facilitate ducting works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

The diversion route will be King Street, High Street, Victoria Road, Crabble Street and no vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 20/10/2025 - 21/10/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

The diversion route will be St Johns Street, Vicarage Hill, St Johns Hill and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 19/10/2025 - 26/10/2025 from 8am to 6pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U2667 Ernleigh Road, Ipswich from 45 metres east of the junction with Britannia Road for 30 metres eastbound to facilitate the replacement of a water supply. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Britannia Road, Spring Road, Woodbridge Road East, Goring Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 20/10/2025 – 21/10/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF CYCLE LANE ON PART OF THE C26 LANDSEER ROAD, IPSWICH

Suffolk County Council has made an order suspending the cycle lane on the C26 Landseer Road, Ipswich on the northbound and southbound carriageways from number 53 to Greenwich Court to facilitate a gas replacement scheme. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

It is intended that the suspension will operate from 20/10/2025 – 31/10/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

The diversion route will be Bury Road, South Street, School Road, Westley Road, Fornham All Saints, Westley Interchange, the A1302, Westley Road Bury St Edmunds, Bury Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 20/10/2025 – 21/10/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the U8520 Hardwick Lane, Bury St Edmunds from the junction with Sharp Road for 30 metres westbound to facilitate a stop tap replacement. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

The diversion route will be Vinery Road, the A143, Horsecroft Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 29/10/2025 - 30/10/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the C447 The Street, Great Bricett from Pound Cottage to The Old Astra Cinema to facilitate overhead wire and polling works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

The diversion route will be The Street, the B1078, Lower Farm Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate on 20/10/2025 from 10am – 4pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

The diversion route will be Powney Street, the B1115, the A1141, Hadleigh Road, Priory Hill, Kersey Road, Road from 8321 to C720 Waldingfield Road, Milden Road, Boxford Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 29/10/2025 – 31/10/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C465 WOODLANDS ROAD, RAYDON

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the C465 Woodlands Road, Raydon from the junction with the B1070 to Clay Lane to facilitate carriageway patching. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Woodlands Road, Raydon Road - Hintlesham, Clay Hill, The Street, Washbrook Road, Chattisham Road, Hollow Road, Wenham Road, Bottle Bridge Road, Raydon Road - Wenham Magna, Wenham Road, - Wenham Magna, Acacia Road - Wenham Magna, Acacia Road, the B1070 and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 20/10/2025 – 23/10/2025 from 8am – 5pm with a further closure scheduled for associated works. If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the A1120 Church Road, Pettaugh from The Green for 20 metres north eastbound to facilitate water remedial works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

The diversion route will be the A12, the A1145, the A146, the A143, the A140 and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 8pm on 20/10/2025 to 6am on 21/10/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the U5625 Shop Street, Worlingworth from 20 metres north of the junction with Pipers Meadow for 30 metres northbound to facilitate excavation of a water defect in the carriageway. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Mill Road, Southolt Road, Swan Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 29/10/2025 – 31/10/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing Footpath 1, Winston from Footpath 3 for 185 metres south westbound to facilitate safety during construction works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 20/10/2025 – 14/11/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 6 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U1029 Foundation Street, Ipswich from number 72 for 20 metres southbound to facilitate water remedial works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

The diversion route will be Lower Brook Street, Tacket Street and vice versa.

* C649 Barton Road, Great Barton from the junction with Brand Road to the junction with The Street.

This is to facilitate the installation of a fibre network. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

The diversion route will be Brand Road, the A143 Bury Road, the A143, Ixworth the A1088, Thetford Road, Ixworth Road, Troston Road, Honington Road, The Street, Livermere Road, Troston Road, The Street and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 29/10/2025 – 12/12/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE AND SUSPENSION OF 7.5 TONNE WEIGHT RESTRICTION ON PART OF THE A137 VARIOUS ROADS, U1074 ST PETERS WHARF, B1073 BURRELL ROAD AND B1075 RANELAGH ROAD, IPSWICH

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the following roads to all motor vehicles:

* A137 Bridge Street, Ipswich Northbound from Bridge Street roundabout to Stoke Street

* A137 Bridge Street, Ipswich Southbound from Dock Street to Bridge Street roundabout

* U1074 St Peters Wharf, Ipswich from Bridge Street to Foundry Lane.

This is to facilitate installation of new ducting, carriageway resurfacing and new road markings. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion routes will be:

* Northbound – the B1073, the B1075, the A1214, the A137 and no vice versa

* Southbound – the A137, the A1214, the A14, the A137 and no vice versa.

For the duration of this closure there will be a suspension of the 7.5 tonne weight restriction on the following roads:

* Northbound closure – the B1073 Burrell Road, Ipswich and the B1075 Ranelagh Road, Ipswich

* Southbound closure – the A137 Wherstead Road, Ipswich, the A137 Bridge Street, Ipswich.

It is intended that the closures will operate from:

Northbound:

  1. 22/10/2025 – 25/10/2025 from 7pm – 5am

  2. 24/11/2025 – 26/11/2025 from 7pm – 5am

  3. 27/11/2025 – 29/11/2025 from 7pm – 5am

Southbound:

  1. 20/10/2025 – 23/10/2025 from 7pm – 5am

  2. 21/11/2025 – 25/11/2025 from 7pm – 5am

  3. 26/11/2025 – 27/11/2025 from 7pm – 5am

If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

The diversion route will be the A1302 to the A14 roundabout – junction 44 to the A14 roundabout – junction 43, the A143 and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 20/10/2025 – 24/10/2025 from 8pm – 5am. If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

The diversion route will be Ladys Green, Bury Road, Dunstall Green Road, Dunstall Green, Denham Road, the road from the C659 to the B1085, Barrow Road, Denham End, Denham Lane, Barrow Hill, Barrow Road, Church Lane, Bury Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 20/10/2025 – 24/10/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the following roads:

* C959 Coast Road, Corton from the junction with the Holiday Park for 657 metres northbound

* U4147 Stirrups Lane, Corton from the junction with Coast Road for 300 metres westbound.

This is to facilitate kerb, verge, footpath and carriageway works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion routes will be:

* Coast Road – the A47, Lowestoft Road, Longfoulans Road and vice versa

* Stirrups Lane – the A47, the B1385, The Street, Church Lane and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 20/10/2025 – 07/12/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the B1084 Orford Road, Eyke and the B1084 Orford Road, Bromeswell from the junction with Eyke Road to the junction with Sheepdrift Road to facilitate carriageway patching prior to surface dressing. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be the A1152, the B1069, the B1078, the B1084, and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 20/10/2025 – 23/10/2025 from 8am – 5pm with a further closure scheduled for associated works. If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

  • B1456 Main Road, Chelmondiston

  • B1456 Shotley Road, Chelmondiston

  • B1456 Road from 4115, Chelmondiston to Erwarton Walk, Shotley

  • B1456 The Street, Shotley

  • U4109 Bylam Lane, Chelmondiston from the B1456 for 100 metres southbound

  • U4110 Richardsons Lane, Chelmondiston from the B1456 for 100 metres northbound

  • U4116 Wades Lane, Shotley from the B1456 for 180 metres eastbound

  • U4120 Erwarton Walk, Erwarton from the B1456 for 100 metres westbound

* 40mph speed restriction

  • U4109 Bylam Lane, Chelmondiston from 100 metres south of the B1456 for 200 metres southbound

  • U4110 Richardsons Lane, Chelmondiston from 100 metres north of the B1456 for 150 metres northbound

  • U4116 Wades Lane, Shotley from 180 metres east of the B1456 for 200 metres eastbound

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the following roads in the following phases:

  1. U8013 Nether Street, Hessett from no. 31 to the junction with 8014 from C694 to 8013 and the 8014 from C694 to 8013, Hessett from the junction with Nether Street to Lawneys Farm

  2. U4299 Heath Road, Hessett from the junction with 8014 from C694 to 8013 to the junction with The Green.

This is to facilitate installation of a fibre network. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion routes will be:

  1. 8014 from C694 to 8013, Hessett Road, Kinshall Green, Kingshall Street, High Rougham and vice versa

  2. The Street, Beyton Road, Church Road, Quaker Lane, High Rougham, Nether Street and 8014 from C694 to 8013 and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from:

  1. 29/10/2025 – 18/11/2025

  2. 19/11/2025 – 09/12/2025

    If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).
