What is happening?
SUFFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984: SECTION 14
TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U5911 BOBBY HILL, WATTISFIELD
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U5911 Bobby Hill, Wattisfield from the junction with the A143 for 300 metres northbound to facilitate a new water main. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be Bobby Hill, Wattisfield Road, Hinderclay Road, the A143 and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 20/10/2025 - 12/12/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C653 MOULTON ROAD, MOULTON
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the C653 Moulton Road, Moulton from 350 metres west of no. 1 for 250 metres westbound to facilitate pole testing. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be Moulton Road, the A1304 the B1506, the B1085, Newmarket Road and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate on 20/10/2025 from 9.30am - 3.30pm. If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C630 INGHAM ROAD, WEST STOW
Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the C630 Ingham Road, West Stow from footpath 1 for 30 metres south westbound to facilitate the maintenance of a water meter. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be the B1106 and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate on 29/10/2025 from 8am - 6pm. If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE A154 BEACH STATION ROAD, FELIXSTOWE
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the A154 Beach Station Road, Felixstowe for a safety inspection from 240 metres eastbound and 20 metres westbound to facilitate the closure of both roads in the level crossing systems. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be Walton Avenue, the A14, the A154 and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 9.30pm on 18/10/2025 - 8.30am on 19/10/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

(BOROUGH OF IPSWICH) (STOPPING, WAITING AND LOADING PROHIBITIONS AND RESTRICTIONS AND ON-STREET PARKING PLACES) (CONSOLIDATION) ORDER 2019 (BOROUGH OF IPSWICH) (VARIOUS ROADS) (PROHIBITION AND RESTRICTION OF WAITING AND LOADING AND DISABLED PARKING BAYS) (VARIATION NO.43) ORDER 202-

SUFFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL (IPSWICH) (VARIOUS ROADS) (PROHIBITION OF MOTOR VEHICLES AND REVOCATION) ORDER 202-
Suffolk County Council proposes to make the above orders under Sections 1(1) and (2), 2(1) to (3), (4) and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, affecting Upper Brook Street (B1076), Ipswich, and various surrounding roads as detailed below.
The Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting and Loading and Disabled Parking Bays:
This order would substitute revision 6 of Map Tile GK123 in place of revision 5 of the same Map Tile and substitute revision 5 of Map Tile GL123 in place of revision 4 of the same Map Tile, in the above-named 2019 order. The effect of this would be to introduce:
• No waiting and no loading at any time on:
• Upper Brook Street (B1076), Ipswich, west side, from its junction with Dogs Head Street (B1075) in a northerly direction for 70 metres
• Upper Brook Street (B1076), Ipswich, west side, from a point 91 metres north of its junction with Dogs Head Street (B1075) for a distance of 32 metres in a northerly direction
• Upper Brook Street (B1076), Ipswich, west side, from a point 31 metres north of its junction with Butter Market (U1010) for a distance of 2.5 metres in a northerly direction
• Upper Brook Street (B1076), Ipswich, east side, for its entire length from Tackett Street (B1075) to Carr Street (U1056), a distance of approximately 175 metres
• Tackett Street (B1075), Ipswich, north side, from the centre of its junction with Upper Brook Street (B1076) for a distance of 15 metres in an easterly direction
• No waiting and no loading between 10.30am - 4.30pm* and 'Loading only between 4.30pm - 10.30am' on:
• Upper Brook Street (B1076), Ipswich, west side, from a point 70 metres north of its junction with Dogs Head Street (B1075) for a distance of 21 metres in a northerly direction
• Upper Brook Street (B1076), Ipswich, west side, from a point 33.5 metres north of its junction with Butter Market (U1010) for a distance of 17 metres in a northerly direction
• "No stopping except buses" on:
• Upper Brook Street (B1076), Ipswich, west side, from a point 3 metres north of its junction with Butter Market (U1010) for a distance of 29 metres in a northerly direction.
Disabled Parking Bays on:
• Wingfield Street (U1028), Ipswich, on the southeastern side of the turning head
approximately 7 metres from the junction with Foundation Street (A1022). There will
be five disabled bays, each 3.6 metres wide and 4.8 metres long, for a total distance of
18.0 metres.
The above restrictions will not allow a vehicle to wait for so long as is necessary to allow goods to be loaded and unloaded for building, industrial or demolition works; removal of furniture; maintenance of the road or its services; and for fulfilling statutory duties.
Suffolk County Council is making the order known as the Ipswich Borough Council (Prohibition of Entry, Prohibition of Motor Vehicles, Pedestrianised Streets, Restricted Access) (Consolidation Order Adjustment) Order 2004-05, which came into effect on 21/01/2005 in so far as it relates to Northgate Street and Upper Brook Street (Articles 38 to 41 inclusive of that Order) are hereby revoked.
The above proposals are being progressed in separate orders; however, Suffolk County Council is advertising them together as they are part of the same scheme.
Copies of the draft orders, maps showing the roads affected and the council's reasons for each of the proposals, may be seen with advance notice at the address below, 9am - 5pm Monday - Friday; also at Ipswich County Library, Northgate Street, Ipswich, IP1 3DE, 9am - 6pm Monday; 9am - 7pm Tuesday; 9am - 6pm Wednesday and Thursday; 9am - 7pm Friday; 9.30am - 5pm Saturday and 10am - 4pm Sunday (excluding public holidays and bank holidays).
