What is happening?
THE NORFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL (SWAFFHAM, VARIOUS ROADS) (20 MPH SPEED LIMIT ZONE) CONSOLIDATION AND VARIATION ORDER 2025
The Norfolk County Council propose to make the following Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984:
The Norfolk County Council (Swaffham, Various Roads) (20 mph Speed Limit Zone) Consolidation and Variation Order 2025
The effect of this Order will be to:
Consolidate The Norfolk County Council (Swaffham, Various Roads) 20mph Speed Limit Order 2019 (“2019 Order”)
Revoke The Norfolk County Council (Swaffham, Various Roads) 20 m.p.h. Speed Limit Order 2018
De-restrict the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule below which are restricted roads by virtue of section 82(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Introduce a 20mph speed limit zone and thereby prohibiting any motor vehicle from exceeding 20 miles per hour along the following lengths of road:

| U31845 Brimstone Close | From its junction with the U31824 Mayfly Road to its junction with the U31917 Dragonfly Way. |
| 3P814 Bumble Close | From its junction with the 3P812 Corncrake Way southwards for its entire length (58 metres) including turning heads. |
| 3P812 Corncrake Way | From its western junction with the 3P565 Greyling Way to its eastern junction with the 3P565 Greyling Way. |
| U31917 Dragonfly Way | From its junction with the U31824 Mayfly Road to its junction with U31822 Ringlet Road. |
| U31823 Fieldfare Way | From its junction with the U31822 Otter Road to its junction with the U31824 Mayfly Road. |
| 3P565 Greyling Way | From its westernmost junction with the U31822 Ringlet Road southwards and eastwards in an anticlockwise direction to its junction with the 3P409 Mayfly Road, then southwards to its junction with the 3P565 Greyling Way. |
| 3P813 Harvest Drive | From its junction with the 3P812 Corncrake Way southwards for 43 metres and along its eastern arm for 62 metres including turning heads. |
| 3P566 Leverett Green | From its westernmost junction with the 3P565 Greyling Way eastwards to its easternmost junction with the 3P565 Greyling Way. |
| U31824/3P409 Mayfly Road | From its junction with the U31822 Otter Road to its junction with the 3P565 Greyling Way. |
| U31828 Minnow Close | From its southernmost junction with the U31822 Otter Road clockwise to its northernmost junction with the U31822 Otter Road. |
| U31822 Otter Road | From its northern junction with the A1065 Brandon Road eastwards for a distance of 233 metres. |
| U31822/3P567 Ringlet Road | From its junction with the U31822 Otter Road to its junction with the 3P565 Greyling Way. |
| U31919 Sedge Road | From its junction with the U31918 Swanflower Way eastwards for 107 metres including turning heads. |
| U31918 Swanflower Way | From its junction with the U31824 Mayfly Road eastwards and southwards to its southernmost junction with the U31824 Mayfly Road. |
| 3P815 Swallowtail Way | From its junction with the 3P812 Corncrake Way westwards for 54 metres including turning heads. |
| 3P811 Woodpecker Way | From its westernmost junction with the 3P565 Greyling Way eastwards to its easternmost junction with the 3P565 Greyling Way. |

Copies are also available for inspection at Norfolk County Council, County Hall, Norwich, NR1 2DH and at the offices of Breckland District Council, Elizabeth House, Walpole Loke, Dereham, NR19 1EE during normal office hours. Online would be recommended.
Objections and representations to this Order must be made in writing and must specify the grounds on which they are made. All correspondence to the Traffic Orders team must be received at the office of nplaw, Norfolk County Council, County Hall, Martineau Lane, Norwich, NR1 2DH, marked for the attention of the nplaw Traffic Regulation Order Team by 11th November 2025.
