SANDWELL METROPOLITAN BOROUGH COUNCIL

The Borough Council of Sandwell (Terrace Street, Rowley Regis) (Temporary Road Closure) Order 2025 intends to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along Terrace Street, which will be closed at the junction of Powke Lane. Access to any affected frontages will be maintained, but only when safety permits. Traffic will be diverted via Powke Lane, Holly Road, Waterfall Lane, Higgsfield Crescent & vice versa. The maximum duration is 18 months but the work is expected to be completed by 02/11/2025 effective from 01/11/2025 (8:30am-5pm). The Borough Council of Sandwell (Park Street, Rowley Regis)

(Temporary Road Closure) and (Temporary One-Way Suspension) Order

2025 intends to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along Park Street, which will be closed from the junction of Archer Way for 35 metres in a north-easterly direction. Traffic will be diverted via Archer Way, Oldbury Road & Cardale Street. The order also intends to cover the temporary suspension of one-way operation of Park Street from thje junction of Cardale Street to the north-eastern gable end of Sandwell Carpets and Vinyl Warehouse and the introduction of two-way operation for the duration of the works. The maximum duration is 18 months but the work is expected to be completed by 07/11/2025 effective from 03/11/2025 (24hr). Purpose – to facilitate access to lay a new gas service by Pivotal Energy. The Borough Council of Sandwell (Houghton Street, West Bromwich) (Temporary Road Closure) Order 2025 intends to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along Houghton Street, which will be closed at the junction of Spon Lane South. Access to affected frontages will be maintained but only when safety permits. Traffic will be diverted via Spon Lane South, Kenrick Way (eastbound), Telford Way Roundabout, Kenrick Way (westbound), Union Street & Hall Street South. A further traffic diversion route will be signed via Hall Street South, Kenrick Way & Spon Lane. The maximum duration is 18 months but the work is expected to be completed by 11/11/2025 effective from 03/11/2025 (24hr). Purpose – to facilitate access for water main renewal works by Network Plus Ltd on behalf of South Staffs Water. The Borough Council of Sandwell (Newton Road, West Bromwich) (Temporary Layby Closure) Order 2025 intends to temporarily prohibit vehicles from accessing the layby on the southern side of Newton Road (525 metres from the junction of All Saints Way/Hollyhedge Road). The maximum duration is 18 months but the work is expected to be completed by 05/11/2025 effective from 04/11/2025 (7pm-6am). Purpose – to facilitate access for telecommunication works by Ericssons.

The Borough Council of Sandwell (Rabone Lane, Smethwick) (Temporary Road Closure) Order 2025 intends to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along Rabone Lane, which will be closed from its junction with Cornwall Road & Foundry Lane to north of its junction with Rabone Park. Access to any affected frontages will be maintained, but only when safety permits. Traffic will be diverted via Cornwall Road, Downing Street, Bridge Street North, Rolfe Street & vice versa. The maximum duration is 18 months, but the work is expected to commence and be completed by 04/11/2025 (9:30am-3:30pm). Purpose – to facilitate access for maintenance works by WHP Telecoms. Access to any affected frontages will be maintained, but only when safety permits. Traffic will be diverted via High Street & vice versa. The maximum duration is 18 months, but the work is expected to commence and be completed by 02/11/2025 (24hrs). Purpose – to facilitate access for maintenance work by Cadent Gas Ltd.
