(Stedham With Iping & Woolbeding with Reford: Public Footpath No. 1128)

(Temporary Closure) Order 2025

NOTICE is hereby given that the Order made by WSCC under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 which came into force on 29 April 2025, with the consent of the Secretary of State for Transport will now continue in force until 29 October 2026 or until the footpath is safe to reopen. The Order is necessary to protect public safety due to the existing bridge having fallen into disrepair and needing to be replaced.

The effect of the Order remains unchanged and is to prohibit any person from proceeding along a length of Public Footpath No 1128 from its western end at its junction with Public Footpath Nol. 1129 (SU863232), running in an easterly direction to its junction with Brambling Lane (SU868232), a distance of approximately 530M.

Unfortunately there is no alternative route available using the Public Rights of Way network. Any queries about the effect of the Order on pedestrians using the footpath should be directed to Public Rights of Way Team, WSCC, telephone number 01243 777620.

(Steine Road Amendment) Order 202*

Southbourne – Cooks Lane Traffic Calming Measures

NOTICE is hereby given that in exercise of their powers WSCC propose to:-

(i) under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, make a permanent Order the effect of which will be to introduce lengths of prohibition of waiting at any time (double yellow lines) on the west side of Steine Road from the railway crossing northwards for 36M; and, (ii) under the provisions of the Highways (Road Humps Regulations) 1999 and Highways Act 1980, install a raised table on Cooks Lane at the junction with Steine Road.

The raised table will be constructed from asphalt being 65mm above the existing road surface and crossing the entire width of the carriageway. The overall length of the table will extend 11.65M in Cooks Lane with ramp gradients of 1:15.

(30MPH & 40MPH Speed Limit) (Consolidation) Order 202*

NOTICE is hereby given that WSCC proposes to introduce a permanent Order under the provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to introduce a 40MPH speed limit on a length of the B2070 London Road Rogate on the eastern approach to Rake village

(30MPH & 40MPH Speed Limit) Order 202*

NOTICE is hereby given that WSCC proposes to introduce a permanent Order under the provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to introduce:-

(i)) a 40MPH speed limit on the section of the B2166 between the Pagham Roundabout junction and the 30 MPH speed limit in North Mundham village; and

(ii) a 30MPH speed limit on the entire lengths of Blomfield Avenue, Fairs Copse, Merricks Way and Tuffnell Mead.

NOTICE is hereby given that WSCC proposes to introduce a permanent Order under the provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to extend the 30MPH speed limit on the A259 Main Road Bosham east of Walton Lane eastwards for a distance of 370M.
