ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984: SECTION 14(1)

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC ORDER 2025

BROMHAM ROAD, BIDDENHAM 25 – 083

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bedford Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Bromham Road, Biddenham between Biddenham Turn and The Great Ouse Way.

This temporary road closure is required to facilitate carriageway resurfacing works and high friction surfacing and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.

This temporary road closure is anticipated to be in operation 20:00 to 06:00 hours from 7th November 2025 to 24th November 2025 and 20:00 to 06:00 from 8th December 2025 to 9th December 2025 The signed alternative route for vehicles affected by the order is available via Bromham Road, Deep Spinney, The Great Ouse Way, Paula Radcliffe Way, Clapham Road, Manton Lane, Shakespeare Road.

The reverse route applies.

ST PAULS SQUARE, ST MARY’S STREET, THE EMBANKMENT, HORNE LANE, HIGH STREET, BEDFORD 25 – 084

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bedford Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of St Pauls Square, St Mary’s Street, The Embankment, Horne Lane, High Street, Bedford.

These temporary road closures are required to facilitate the re surfacing of the carriageway on St Pauls Square and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. This temporary road closure is anticipated to be in operation 20:00 to 06:00 hours from 3rd November 2025 to 14th November 2025 The signed alternative route for vehicles affected by the order is available via River Street, Greyfriars, Bromham Road, Ashburnham Road, Midland Road, Prebend Street, Cauldwell Street, Kingsway, St Johns Street, Kingsway Roundabout, Rope Walk.

The reverse route applies.

KNOTTING GREEN, KNOTTING 25 – 104

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bedford Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Knotting Green, Knotting.

This temporary road closure is required to facilitate road surface patching, and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.

This temporary road closure is anticipated to be in operation 08:00 to 18:00 hours from 28th October 2025 to 3rd November 2025 The signed alternative route for vehicles affected by the order is available via Knotting Road, Swineshead Road, Melchbourne Road, High Street, Pertenhall Road, Sharnbrook Road, Riseley Road, Rushden Road, Knotting Green.

The reverse route applies.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bedford Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Village Road, Bromham outside 16.

This temporary road closure is required to facilitate the installation of a new electricity supply and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.

This temporary road closure is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours from 3rd November 2025 to 7th November 2025

The signed alternative route for vehicles affected by the order is available via Village Road, Stagsden Road, Box End Road, C46 Slip Road To A428, Bromham Bypass, Bromham Road, Deep Spinney, The Great Ouse Way, Mallard Chase, Paula Radcliffe Way, Clapham Road, Bedford Road, High Street, Oakley Road, Lovell Road, Church Lane.

The reverse route applies.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bedford Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Moor End Lane, Radwell near railway bridge.

This temporary road closure is required to install air valve and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.

This temporary road closure is anticipated to be in operation 08:00 to 17:00 hours from 10th November 2025 to 12th November 2025 The proposed Order will come into operation on 10th November 2025, for a period of 12 months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bedford Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Wollaston Road, Hinwick outside Hinwick Hall.

This temporary road closure is required to facilitate repairs to water pipe and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.

This temporary road closure is anticipated to be in operation 20:00 to 06:00 hours from 3rd November 2025 to 4th November 2025

This temporary road closure is required to repair a manhole and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.

This temporary road closure is anticipated to be in operation 09:00 to 15:30 hours 12th November 2025

DUCK END LANE, WILSTEAD 25 – 086

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bedford Borough Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along Duck End Lane, Wilstead.

This temporary road closure is required to facilitate cabling works and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.

This temporary road closure is anticipated to be in operation 09:30 to 15:30 hours 17th November 2025

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984: SECTION 14(1)

BEDFORD BOROUGH COUNCIL

(BEDFORD: FOOTHPATH NO 22)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)   ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Bedford Borough Council have made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any person proceeding on foot along the length of public footpath No 22 Bedford which extends from Ordnance Survey Grid Reference (OS GR) TL 0560 4942 to OS GR TL 0637 4933.

This temporary closure is required to carry out Environment Agency works.

The closure will take place from Thursday 23rd October 2025 for a period of six months. Access may be available via a banksman during this period.

The alternative route for footpath users while the closure is in operation will be to proceed along footpath No 17 to the Embankment and vice visa. The Order will come into operation on 23rd October 2025 for a period not exceeding six months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out on or near the footpath to have been completed, whichever is the earlier. If the works are not completed within six months the Order may be extended for a longer period with the consent of the Secretary of State for Transport.
