PETERBOROUGH CITY COUNCIL

WOTHORPE – VARIOUS ROADS

SPEED LIMIT AMENDMENT ORDER 2025

Notice is hereby given that The Council of the City of Peterborough has made the above Order under Sections 82(2)(b), 83(2) and 84 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, ‘the Act of 1984’ and of all other enabling powers.

The effect of this Order is to:

a)  Reduce the speed limit on Kettering Road (A43) Wothorpe from the national speed limit to 40mph from a point 245m south of its junction with Second Drift to a point 52m north of the centreline of the exit slip road leading from the southbound carriageway of the A1.

b)  Reduce the speed limit on London Road (B1081) from 50mph to 40mph from a point 100m in a north-easterly direction from its junction with the southbound carriageway of the A1 to a point 80m south of its junction with First Drift.

c)  Reduce the speed limit on London Road (B1081) from 40mph to 30mph from a 80m south of its junction with First Drift to a point 40m north of the Bottle Lodges entrance to Burghley House
