What is happening?
WESTMORLAND AND FURNESS COUNCIL (U5107,
PENNY BRIDGE AND THE C5018, LOWICK BRIDGE) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable utility works to be carried out (“the Works”), Westmorland and Furness Council intends to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that section of the; (i) U5107, Penny Bridge, from its junction with The Rake (U5105), extending in a predominantly southerly direction to its junction with the U5106. Alternative Route: via the U5106, A590, C5022 and The Rake. Duration: From 3rd November 2025 for approx. 2 days (Ref: TTROW/16140)
(ii) C5018, Lowick Bridge, from its junction with the U5083, extending in a north easterly direction for a distance of approx. 520 metres. Alternative Route: via the unrestricted sections of the C5018, A5084 and the A5092. Duration: From 4th November 2025 for approx. 2 days (Ref: TTROW/16145)

The Order will come into operation on 3rd November 2025 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restrictions will only be required as detailed above, and only as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
