The County of Cornwall (Castle Hill, Lostwithiel) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Council intends to make the above Order in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 to temporarily prohibit the use by traffic of the undermentioned length of road in Lostwithiel. This prohibition is necessary for works to access manhole and joint box and it is expected that the closure will be from 24th November 2025 for one day. The prohibition will be in force between the hours of 0930 and 1530, weekdays only. Road affected - Castle Hill, Lostwithiel from junction with Edgcumbe Road to junction with Gilbury Hill. Cornwall Council Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (RTRA 1984) Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2017
Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Council is under the above Order dated 25th April 2025 continuing to prohibit the use by traffic over an area of highway being Bridleway 2, Warleggan and Bridleway 44, St Neot between grid references SX 15646:67650 and SX 15888:67194. The Order which commenced on the 25th October 2017 and is currently in force for up to six months will now continue until the 25th October 2026. The continuance of this Order, which was to have expired on the 25th October 2025 has been approved by the Secretary of State for Transport. The prohibition will be in force 24 hours a day, weekends included. The Council is satisfied that this further restriction is necessary owing to engineering difficulties and the order is needed because of the likelihood of danger to the public during owing to water erosion. Bridleway closed for those driving, riding or leading a horse. Access for pedestrians to be maintained. Nothing in this Order will apply to traffic associated with the works required within the highway specified above, any vehicle being used for the purposes of an undertaker in an emergency, such as loss of utility supplies and anything done with the permission of or at the discretion of a police officer. Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Council has made the above Order dated 26th October 2025 in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 to temporarily prohibit the use by traffic of the undermentioned length of road in West Looe. This prohibition is necessary for gas mains replacement works and it is expected that the closure will be from 10th November 2025 to 5th December 2025. The prohibition will be in force 24 hours a day, weekends included. Road affected - North Road, West Looe between the junctions with Polperro Road and West Road. Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Council has made the above Order dated 27th October 2025 in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 to temporarily prohibit the use by traffic of the undermentioned length of road in Pensilva. This prohibition is necessary for pole renewal works and it is expected that the closure will be from 10th November 2025 to 11th November 2025. The prohibition will be in force between the hours of 0830 and 1530, weekdays only. This prohibition is necessary for resurfacing works and it is expected that the closure will be from 24th November 2025 to 9th December 2025. The prohibition will be in force 24 hours a day, weekends included. Road affected - Road From Plymouth Road To Liskeard Road, Horningtops for its entire length. Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Council has made the above Order dated 26th October 2025 in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 to temporarily prohibit the use by traffic of the undermentioned length of road in Fowey. This prohibition is necessary for pole replacement works and it is expected that the closure wil I be from 16th November 2025, for one day. Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Council intends to make the above Order in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 to temporarily prohibit the use by traffic of the undermentioned length of road in St John. This prohibition is necessary for pole replacement and tree cutting works and it is expected that the closure will be from 26th November 2025, for one day. The prohibition will be in force between the hours of 0930 and 1530, weekdays only. Road affected - Jacks Lane, St John between properties known as West Cottage and Holly Tree Cottage. This prohibition is necessary for new water connection works and it is expected that the closure will be from 24th November 2025 to 28th November 2025. The prohibition will be in force between the hours of 1900 and 0700, weekdays only.
