Wiltshire, Temporary Road Closures Due To Various Works

What is happening?

WILTSHIRE COUNCIL

Section 14(1) Of The Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make Orders to close temporarily to all traffic:

A) B3106 (Part), Holt; from its junction with B3107 to its junction with B3105 to enable Wales & West Utilities to carry out trial holes and CCTV survey for gas main and associated works.

Alternative route via: B3105 - B3107 and vice versa.

This Order will come into operation at 09:30 on 10th November 2025 and the closure will be required until 16:00 on 14th November 2025.

B) Eastbourne Road (Part), Trowbridge; from its junction with Eastbourne Gardens to its junction with Harford Street to enable Wales & West Utilities Ltd to carry out replacement of metallic gas main with plastic mains and associated works.

Alternative route via: Harford Street - Ashton Street - Eastbourne Gardens and vice versa.

This Order will come into operation at 09:00 on 10th November 2025 and the closure will be required until 5th December 2025.

C) C41 (Part), Sutton Veny; from its junction with Greenhill Gardens to its junction with Everett Close to enable Wessex Water to carry out repair cover and associated works.

Alternative route via: C41 (unaffected length) - C10 - B3414 - C41 (unaffected length) and vice versa.

This Order will come into operation on 10th November 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 08:00 and 16:00 for 2 days.

D) Rosedale Gardens (Part), Trowbridge; from its property known as No.15 Rosedale Gardens to its property known as No.25 Rosedale Gardens to enable Openreach to carry out excavation to install ducting and associated works.

Alternative route via: Rosedale Gardens (unaffected length) - Chilmark Road and vice versa.

This Order will come into operation at 09:00 on 12th November 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00 until 14th November 2025.

E) Brown Street to junction with County Way, Trowbridge; from its junction with A361 to its junction with Brown Street to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out Longfield gyratory scheme.

Alternative route via: Brown Street - Orchard Road - Haden Road -Weavers Drive - Broadcloth Lane - Broadcloth Lane East - West Ashton Road - A361 and vice versa.

This Order will come into operation on 10th November 2025 and the closure will be required 24 hours a day until 30th January 2026.

Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made Orders to close temporarily to all traffic:

F) Greater Lane (Part), Edington; from its junction with Greatwoods for a distance of approximately 25m in a southerly direction to enable Wessex Water to carry out S81 and associated works.

Alternative route via: B3098 - C49 - Greater Lane (unaffected length) and vice versa.

This Order will come into operation on 23rd October 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:30 and 16:00 for 1 day.

G) B3105 (Part), Hilperton; from its roundabout junction with A361 for a distance of approximately 800m in a north westerly direction to enable Brandwells to carry out S278 - completion of road widening, to provide access roads into Barratt and Persimmon development. Plane off existing and relay new tarmac.

Alternative route via: B3105 (unaffected length) - B3107 - A350 - A361 and vice versa.

This Order will come into operation on 20th October 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 19:00 and 06:00 until 26th October 2025.

H) Cross Street (Part), Trowbridge; from its junction with Timbrell Street for a distance of approximately 20m in a westerly direction to enable Wessex Water to carry out permanent reinstatement and associated works.

Alternative route via: Cross Street (unaffected length) - Charlotte Street - B3106 - Timbrell Street and vice versa.

This Order will come into operation on 20th October 2025 and the closure will be required for 2 days.

I) Dunch Lane (Part), Melksham; from its junction with A350 to its junction with Southbrook Road to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out works to exposed embankments and associated works.

Alternative route via: Southbrook Road - Roundpond - A365 - A350 and vice versa.

This Order will come into operation on 23rd October 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:30 and 15:00 for 1 day.

J) Station Road (Part), Codford; for a distance of approximately 20m either side of the level crossing to enable Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd to carry out access to level crossing and associated works.

Alternative route via: Station Road (unaffected length) - C10 - C41 - A36 and vice versa.

This Order which previously came into operation on 1st November 2024 will now recommence on 20th October 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 23:30 and 05:30 for 1 night.

Orders A) to I) will have a maximum duration of 18 months, Order J) has a maximum duration of 18 months. The closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works.

Section 14(1) Of The Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made Orders to close to temporarily to all traffic:

A) C20 (Part), Market Lavington; from its junction with A360 for a distance of approximately 900m in a south easterly direction.

B) C20 (Part), Market Lavington; from its junction with A360 for a distance of approximately 230m in a north westerly direction. And to temporarily introduce a 20mph speed restriction on the following length of road:

C) A360 (Part), Market Lavington; from a point approximately 20m north of its junction with Cheverell Road for a distance of approximately 115m in a southerly direction to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out traffic signals works - carriageway resurfacing, replacement of road markings, adjustment of ironworks, drainage and traffic signal installation and associated works.

Alternative route via: Ledge Hill - Spin Hill - Parsonage Lane - Grove Road - The Spring - Lavington Lane - High Street and vice versa.

The closures, speed restriction and diversion route will be clearly indicated by traffic signs.

This Order which previously came into operation on 3rd September 2025 will now recommence on 20th October 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 07:00 and 17:00 until 30th January 2026. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works. The Order has a maximum duration of 18 months.
