Hove, Temporary Road Closures For Carriageway Tabletop And Lining Works

What is happening?

BRIGHTON AND HOVE CITY COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ORDERCLARENDON VILLAS, EATON VILLAS AND GOLDSTONE VILLAS, HOVE

  1. NOTICE is hereby given that Brighton & Hove City Council intend, less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order pursuant to powers in Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended which when it comes into force will have the following effect:-

For the entire durations of these works the following will be in force: (a) The temporary closure of Clarendon Villas at its junction with Goldstone Villas (b) The temporary closure of Eaton Villas at its junction with Goldstone Villas

In force only as and when signed: (a) The temporary closure of Goldstone Villas at its junction with Clarendon Villas and Eaton Villas

1. The Order is necessary to allow contractors working on behalf of Brighton & Hove City Council to carry out carriageway tabletop works and all associated lining works as part of the Safer Better Streets scheme.

2. Pedestrian accesses will be maintained, and a signed diversion route will be in place for vehicular traffic.

3. This Order comes into force on 3 November 2025 for a period of up to eighteen months and will expire earlier if the works are completed, which is anticipated to be 10 December 2025.
