C1072 High Street, Kington - Temporary Road Closure due to Repair Works
What is happening?
Notice of Making
NOTICE is hereby given that Herefordshire Council, as highway authority, have, under its relevant powers, made the following Order: C1072 High Street, Kington, Temporary Road Closure Order, to temporarily prohibit the use by vehicles travelling North Easterly on the C1072 High Street, Kington from the junction of Mill Street to the junction of Bridge Street. The alternative route for those affected by the proposal is via Church Street onto The Square onto Church Road onto Montford Road onto the A44 onto Headbrook onto Bridge Street.
The said closure is required due to repair works and the likelihood of danger to the public while the works are taking place. The said closure will come into force on 12th October 2025 and remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State) but the works are expected to be completed within 1 day.
