What is happening?

The Council of the City of Manchester proposes to make the following Orders under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 -
City Of Manchester (LansdowneRoad) (Prohibition of Waiting and Amendment) Order 2025
City Of Manchester (Broughton Street) Prohibition of Waiting and Amendment Order 2025
City Of Manchester (Platt Lane) Prohibition of Waiting and Amendment Order 2025
City Of Manchester (Controlled Parking Zone) (Manchester City Centre) (No.21) Order 2003 (Amendment No.20) Order 2025
The effect of the Orders are:
NO WAITING AT ANY TIME:
Broughton Street: (i) the north side from its junction with Cheetham Hill Road in an easterly direction for a distance of 35 metres, (ii) the south side from its junction with Cheetham Hill Road in an easterly direction for a distance of 35 metres.
Landsdowne Road: (i) the west side from a point 18 metres south of its junction with Cravenwood Road in a southerly direction for a distance of 15 metres, (ii) the west side from a point 40 metres south of its junction with Cravenwood Road in a southerly direction for a distance of 10 metres.
Platt Lane: (i)
the south-east side from its junction with Yew Tree Road in a north easterly direction for a distance of 33 metres, (ii) the south-east side from its junction with Yew Tree Road in a south westerly direction for a distance of 15 metres.
CITY OF MANCHESTER (CONTROLLED PARKING ZONE) (MANCHESTER CITY CENTRE) (NO.21) AMENDMENT NO.20 ORDER 2025
Pay & Display Parking Place, Mon-Fri 9am-1pm & 1-5pm
Charlotte Street: (i)
the north-east side from a point 25 metres southeast of its junction with BackGeorge Street to its junction with George Street, (ii) the north-east side from its junction with Back George Street in a south easterly direction for a distance of 7 metres.

Existing Orders are to be amended so as to be consistent with the above proposals.A copy of the proposed Order together with a statement of reasons and plans showing the proposals may be inspected by appointment at Customer Service Centre Ground Floor, Town Hall Extension, M60 2LA (for Sat. Nav. use M2 5DB) between 9am and 4.30pm Monday to Friday. Please email or write into address below for a copy of documents. Objections to the proposals must be sent to me in writing to phlegal@manchester.gov.uk or address below, stating grounds on which are made, no later than 24thNovember 2025.
