Notice is hereby given that, in not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice, the Council intends to make Orders under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Brook Ave (Prohibition of Driving) Temporary Order 2025

The effect of which will be to introduce a prohibition of driving on Brook Ave from its jct. with Mersey Walk to its jct. with Davenport Ave. The Order will be effective from 12th November 2025 for 1 day, between 9:30am & 3:30pm.

The alternative route will be via Mersey Walk, Davenport Ave & vice versa.

The closure is required to allow Openreach to carry out pole replacement works.

Parker St Passageway Rear of 36 to 50 (Prohibition of Driving) Temporary Order 2025

The effect of which will be to introduce a prohibition of driving on Parker Street Passageway Rear of 36 to 50 from its jct. with White St to its jct. with Thynne St. The Order will be effective from 10th November 2025 for 3 days.

An alternative route will be signed on site. The closure is required to allow United Utilities to install a new water connection.

Whitesands Rd, Lymm (Prohibition of Driving) Temporary Order 2025

The effect of which will be to introduce a prohibition of driving on Whitesands Rd from its jct. with Albany Rd to its jct. with The Farthings. The Order will be effective from 25th November 2025 for 1 day. The alternative route will be via Albany Rd, Star Ln & vice versa. The closure is required to allow Scottish Power to carry out transformer replacement works at their substation.

The effect of which is to introduce a prohibition of driving & clearway on Bridgewater Ave from its jct. with Old Kingsway St to its jct. with Brindley Ave.

The Order will be effective from 16th October 2025 for 4 weeks, during off peak hours. A localised alternative route will be signed on site. The restrictions are required for Highway improvement works.

The effect of which is to introduce a prohibition of driving on Povey Rd from its jct. with School Rd to its jct. with Capesthorne Rd. The Order will be effective from 27th October 2025 for 1 week. The alternative route will be via School Rd, Sandy Ln, Morgan Ave, Statham Ave, Poplars Ave, Capesthorne Rd & vice versa via School Rd, Brinks Ave, Capesthorne Rd & vice versa. The closure is required to allow United Utilities to carry out sewer repairs.

Various Rd’s (Various Restrictions) (BSIP Phase 3) Temporary Order 2025

The effect of which is as follows: Prohibition of Driving: Winwick Rd from its jct. with Long Ln to its jct. with Pinners Brow; Long Ln from its jct. with Winwick Rd to its jct. with Fisher Ave; Temporary Suspension of the Borough of Warrington (A50 Long Ln/Orford Green) (7.5 Tonne Weight Limit) Order 2007 in so far as it relates to: A50 Long Ln (Eastbound) from the A49 Winwick Rd to the west side of its jct. with Fisher Ave; A50 Orford Green (Westbound) from its jct. with Hilden Pl to the east side of its jct. with the south-eastern end of Birtles Rd. The Order will be effective from 27th October 2025 for 14 weeks to the 1st February 2026, between 7pm & 6am. The restrictions will be carried out in 5 phases with 1 phase in operation at any one time as follows:

Phase 1: Long Ln;

Phase 2: Winwick Rd southbound Long Ln to Longford St;

Phase 3: Winwick Rd southbound Longford St to Pinners Brow;

Phase 4: Winwick Rd northbound Pinners Brow to Longford St;

Phase 5: Winwick Rd northbound Longford St to Long Ln. The alternative routes will be as follows:

Phase 1 via Winwick Rd, Lythgoes Ln, Manchester Rd, Woolston Grange Ave, Birchwood Way, Orford Rd, Orford Green, School Rd & vice versa;

Phase 2 & 3 via Long Ln, Orford Rd, School Rd, Orford Rd, Birchwood Way, Woolston Grange Ave, Manchester Rd & Lythgoes Ln;

Phase 4 via Lythgoes Ln, Midland Way, Froghall Ln, Winwick Rd;

Phase 5 via Longford St, Long Ln & Kerfoot St;

Phase 5A via Lythgoes Ln, Manchester Rd, Woolston Grange Ave, Birchwood Way, Orford Rd, Orford Green, School Rd & vice versa.

The restrictions are required to allow for resurfacing works on the carriageway and footway.

Notice is hereby given that the Council made an order under Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 & Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 & of all other enabling powers on 15th October 2025. The effect of which is as follows:–

The Orders specified in Schedule 1 to this Notice are revoked in their entirety.
To prohibit any Motor Vehicle proceeding along Bluecoat St from making a right-hand turn at its jct. with A49 Winwick Rd (northbound).
To prohibit any Motor Vehicle proceeding along A49 Winwick Rd from making a left-hand turn at its jct. with Alder Ln (eastbound). Pedal Cycles will be permitted.
To prohibit any Motor Vehicle proceeding along Collegiate Rd in any direction other than from North to South between its jct.’s with A49 Winwick Rd.
To introduce a 24-Hour Bus Gate on the lengths of road specified in Schedule 2 to this Notice. Pedal Cycles will be permitted.
To introduce a 24-Hour Bus Lane on the lengths of road specified in Schedule 3 to this Notice. Pedal Cycles will be permitted.
To prohibit any Motor Vehicle from performing a U-Turn from the roads specified in Column 1 of Schedule 4 to this Notice at the jct. with & in the direction specified in Column 2 of the said Schedule.
