What is happening?

North Tyneside Council gives notice that it intends not
less than seven days from the date of this Notice to
make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic
Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order will be to
prohibit all through traffic at the Coast Road Subway
(near Glanton Avenue).
An alternate route is available via the pedestrian
crossing system on Billy Mill. This will include Regent
Terrace, A1058, B1316.
The proposed temporary Order is required for
drainage repairs at the subway.
The Order will come into force on 17 November 2055
for a period not exceeding 3 weeks.
