(MAP BASED) (PROHIBITION AND RESTRICTION OF WAITING AND PERMITTED PARKING)
(VARIATION NO.29) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is given that on 13 October 2025 Oxfordshire County Council made the above order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the order, which comes into force on 20 October – to help improve road safety & access is as follows:
Chinnor:
A. Introduction of ‘No Waiting at Any Time (double yellow lines) on the Verge or Footway’ prohibition on Thame Road:
a) Northern side – from the eastern property boundary of No.8 Thame Road, south-eastwards to its junction with Lower Road,
b) Southern side – between its junction with Mill Lane and a point opposite the southern kerb line of Lower Road.
B. Introduction of double yellow lines on Thame Road – north side, between the existing ‘Bus Stop’ and the Zebra crossing zig-zag markings, for approx. 5 metres.
C. Formalising the existing ‘No Waiting at Any Time’ parking prohibition as currently marked on:
a) Mill Lane – both sides, for a distance of approx. 40 metres from the junction with Thame Road, including extending into the junction with the access to the car park,
b) Thame Road:
i. Northern side – from the eastern property boundary of No.8 Thame Road, north-westwards for approx. 30 metres,
ii. Southern side – from a point 14 metres northwest of the junction with – Mill Lane, south-eastwards for approx. 38 metres, to southeast of this junction.
Wheatley:
On the residential development off London Road, Double Yellow Lines were installed in Breame Oak Drive as follows:
West & South sides – from its junction with London Road, north & westwards for 94 metres;
East & North sides – from London Road, north & westwards for 100 metres;
North side – from its junction with Ochre Close, eastwards for 15 metres;
South & East sides – from 55 metres north of London Road, north & eastwards for 20 metres.
In Ochre Close adjustments were made to Double Yellow Lines as follows:
Both sides – from London Road northwards for 12 metres;
West & South sides – from 35 metres north of London Road, north & westwards for 40 metres, and on the North side – from Breame Oak Drive, westwards for 20 metres.
The above is to formalise the markings already in place with no further changes in Wheatley.
The Oxfordshire County Council (Various Roads – South Oxfordshire) (Map Based) (Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting and Permitted Parking) Order 2021 is further amended as necessary, updating Map Tiles FK111, FK112, FL111, FL112 and EW82 in the process.

(VARIATION NO.*) ORDER 20
NOTICE is given that Oxfordshire County Council proposes to make the above orders under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers. The effect of the order – following a review of the scheme with residents – is to introduce new & amend existing parking restrictions in the Oxford ‘Headington Central’ CPZ, as follows:
1. All Saints Road:
a. North side – the existing ‘Three hour shared-use 8am-6.30pm Mon to Fri’ parking bay adjacent to the Church will be extended westwards by an additional 5 metres,
b. South side – the existing ‘Three hour shared-use 8am-6.30pm Mon to Fri’ parking bay opposite the Church will be extended westwards by an additional 5 metres.
2. Bateman Street – the existing ‘No waiting 8am-6.30pm Mon to Fri’ (single yellow lines) parking restriction opposite its junction with Gardiner Street, will be replaced with new ‘No Waiting at Any Time’ (double yellow lines) restriction.
3. Gardiner Street – a new 10 metre ‘Permit Holders only’ parking place on the west side, adjacent to No.11, replacing the existing ‘No Waiting at Any Time’ (double yellow lines) restriction.
4. Kennett Road – the existing ‘Permit Holders only’ parking place adjacent to No.10, will be extended southwards by 5 metres to join the existing bay adjacent to No.12, replacing the existing ‘No Waiting at Any Time’ (double yellow lines) restriction.
5. Langley Close:
a. the existing ‘Permit Holders only’ parking place on the western corner of the inner perimeter (opposite Nos.7 & 9) will be removed & replaced with new ‘No Waiting at Any Time’ (double yellow lines) restriction.
b. the existing ‘No Waiting 10am–11am Mon–Fri’ (single yellow lines) parking restrictions adjacent to Nos.14 & 24, will be replaced with new ‘No Waiting at Any Time’ (double yellow lines) restriction.
6. Lime Walk – new ‘Two hour shared-use 8am–6.30pm Mon to Sat’ parking bays will be introduced as follows:
a. East side – one new 9 metre bay adjacent to the ‘Britannia Inn’ public house, replacing the existing ‘No Waiting at Any Time’ (double yellow lines) restriction
b. West side – one new 5 metre bay adjacent to No.72, and a 6 metre bay adjacent to Lime Tree Mews at No.2, replacing the existing ‘No Waiting at Any Time’ (double yellow lines) restriction.
7. London Road:
a. South side – the existing ‘Taxi stand’ adjacent to Nos.108–110 will be removed & replaced with new ‘No Waiting at Any Time’ (double yellow lines) restriction,
b. North side – the existing ‘7am–8pm Mon to Sat’ Loading & Unloading restriction either side of the junction with Stephen Road, will be changed to be in operation at all times on all days of the week.
8. New High Street (East side):
a. the existing ‘Permit Holders only’ parking place adjacent to Nos.31 & 33, will be extended 10 metres southwards adjacent to Nos.35 & 37, replacing the ‘No Waiting at Any Time’ (double yellow lines) restriction
b. a new 26 metre ‘Two hour shared-use 8am–6.30pm Mon to Sat’ parking bay will be introduced adjacent to Nos.1–14, replacing the existing ‘No Waiting 8am–6.30pm Mon–Fri’ (single yellow lines).
9. St Andrews Lane (West side) – the existing ‘Permit Holders only’ parking place adjacent to No.8 will be reduced by 2.5 metres at its southern end, replaced with new ‘No Waiting at Any Time’ (double yellow lines) restriction.
10. Stephen Road:
a. Both sides – the existing ‘7am–8pm Mon to Sat’ Loading & Unloading restriction north of the junction with London Road, will be changed to be in operation at all times on all days of the week,
b. West side – the existing ‘Two hour shared-use 8am–6.30pm Mon to Fri’ parking bay adjacent to No.87 will be removed, & replaced with a 5.5 metre ‘Motorcycle only’ parking bay, and a 9 metre ‘Disabled Persons Parking Place’.
11. Stile Road (West side):
a. the existing ‘Permit Holders only’ parking place adjacent to No.64 St Leonards Road will be reduced by approx. 2 metres at its northern end, and replaced with new ‘No Waiting at Any Time’ (double yellow lines) restriction.
b. the existing ‘Permit Holders only’ parking place adjacent to Nos.40 & 42 will be reduced by approx. 2 metres at its northern end & 1 metre at its southern end, and replaced with new ‘No Waiting at Any Time’ (double yellow lines) restriction.
12. York Road:
a. West side – the existing ‘Permit Holders only’ parking place adjacent to Nos.1 & 3, will be changed to a ‘Two hour shared-use 8am–6.30pm Mon to Fri’ parking bay
b. East side – two new 6 metre ‘Two hour shared-use 8am–6.30pm Mon to Fri’ parking bays will replace the existing ‘No Waiting 8am–6.30pm Mon–Fri’ (single yellow lines) parking restriction adjacent to Nos.2a, and adjacent to No.6, with additional new ‘No Waiting at Any Time’ (double yellow lines) restrictions at either end of the new bays.
The Oxfordshire County Council (Oxford) (Headington Central) (Controlled Parking Zone and Waiting Restrictions) Order 2022, and the Oxfordshire County Council (Disabled Persons Parking Places – Oxford) Order 2010 will both be further amended as necessary.

Objections to the proposals and other representations specifying the grounds on which they are made may be sent in writing to the address below by 14 November 2025.
