What is happening?

THE ROYAL BOROUGH OF WINDSOR & MAIDENHEAD
(KING STREET (PART), MAIDENHEAD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) 
ORDER 2025
The Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead intends, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make an Order, the effect of which will be to:-
Prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that part of King Street from its junction with High Town Road southward for a distance of 10 metres.

There is no alternative route available. 

The purpose of the proposed Order is to facilitate works on the highway, namely gas mains diversion works, and as a result there is the likelihood of danger to the public.

The proposed Order shall be in operation from 08:00 hours on Monday 10th November until 18:00 hours on Friday 21st November 2025. Vehicles will be prohibited when signs as prescribed by the Traffic Sign Regulations and General Directions 2016 are in place to indicate the said restrictions.
