ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14 (1)Temporary Road Closure Nightingale Road, Hampton. (Reference 25/174)
- The Council of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate remedial water works, they have made a temporary Traffic Order, the effect of which will be to introduce a temporary prohibition of traffic in Nightingale Road, Hampton.
- Whilst the work takes place no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed, wait or stand in Nightingale Road, Hampton from outside premises 40 to 44 Nightingale Road.
- Whilst Nightingale Road, Hampton is closed, an alternative route for diverted traffic will be available via Acacia Road, Hanworth Road and vice versa.
- The order will come into effect on 21 October 2025. These works are anticipated to be in progress from 21 October to 22 October 2025. The order will remain in force for a period of 18 months, to allow for unexpected events and possible remedial works.
- The prohibitions apply only during such time and to such extent as indicated by prescribed traffic signs.
- Nothing in the Order applies to: (a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works or any public service or utility vehicle; (b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a civil enforcement officer; or (c) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes.
- Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986. ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14 (1)Temporary Waiting Restrictions Vincam Close, Twickenham (Reference 25/181)
- The Council of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to remove obstruction to parking and due to the likelihood of danger to the public, they have made a temporary Traffic Order, the effect of which will be to introduce a temporary prohibition of traffic in Vincam Close, Twickenham.
- Whilst the Order is in effect, waiting restrictions operating at any time will operate in lengths of the southern side of Vincam Close, and around the cul-de-sac. Footway parking will be permitted in marked bays.
- The order will come into effect on 20 October 2025. The order will remain in force for a period of 18 months.
- The prohibitions apply only during such times and to such extent as indicated by prescribed traffic signs.
- Nothing in the Order applies to: (a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works or any public service or utility vehicle; (b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a civil enforcement officer; or (c) any vehicle being used for Police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes.

The London Borough of Richmond upon Thames (Prescribed Route) (One-Way Working, Oldfield Road) Order 2025OLDFIELD ROAD, HAMPTON (Reference 24/068)
- The Council of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames, on 15 October 2025 made the above Order under section 6 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended. The Order will come into force on 16 October 2025.
- The general effect of the Order is that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed on Oldfield Road from a point outside 161/163 Priory Road southwards for a distance of 118 metres other than in a direction from south to north.
- Copies of particulars giving further details of the scheme:- (a) can be inspected, quoting Reference 24/068, at the Civic Centre (Central Reception, ground floor), 44 York Street, Twickenham between 9.15am and 5pm on Mondays to Fridays, except for Bank and other public holidays; and (b) may be viewed on the Council’s website at: richmond.gov.uk/public_notices.
- If any person wishes to question the validity of the Orders or any of their provisions on the grounds that they are not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or that any requirement of the said Act of 1984 or any instrument made under the said Act of 1984 has not been complied with, then, person may, within 6 weeks from the date on which the Orders were made, apply for the order to be quashed in the High Court. ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 16ATHE LONDON BOROUGH OF RICHMOND UPON THAMES(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) (SPECIAL EVENTS) (CABBAGE PATCH TO RUN) (No 1) ORDER 2025RICHMOND ROAD AND LEBANON PARK, TWICKENHAM (Reference 25/185)
- The Council of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames hereby gives notice that on the 13 October 2025 they made the above-named Order under Section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.
- The purpose of the Order is to allow for the Cabbage Patch 10 Run event to take place on the public highway. The event will take place on Sunday 19 October 2025 at the times specified in paragraph 3 below.
- Whilst the event is taking place, - (a) no person may drive any vehicle along any part of the Lebanon Park from its junction with Richmond Road. This restriction will apply between 9am and 11:30am and when prescribed traffic signs are displayed; (b) no person may permit any vehicle to enter Sion Road at its junction with Richmond Road 9am and 11:30am and when prescribed traffic signs are displayed; (c) no person may permit any vehicle including public buses to proceed in the bus lane in Richmond Road. This suspension will apply between 9am and 11:30am and when prescribed traffic signs are displayed.
- Nothing in this Order will apply to: (a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a Police Constable or a Civil Enforcement Officer; (b) any vehicle being used by a statutory undertaker, whereby it is necessary by reason of an emergency, for that vehicle to have access to part of the street under restriction; (c) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes.
- The prohibitions or restrictions specified in this notice will apply only during such times and to such extent as indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
- Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by this Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986. ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14 (1)Temporary Road Closure Old Palace Terrace, Richmond (Reference 25/175)
- The Council of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate a crane operation works they have made a temporary Traffic Order, the effect of which will be to introduce a temporary prohibition of traffic in Old Palace Terrace, Richmond.
- Whilst the works take place no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed, wait or stand in Old Palace Terrace from its junction with Kings Street to its junction with The Green.
- Whilst Old Palace Terrace is closed, an alternative route for diverted traffic will be available via Pembroke Villas, Portland Terrace, The Green and Old Palace Terrace.
- The order will come into effect on 21 October 2025 and the restrictions for these works are anticipated to be in progress on 21 October 2025 only with a back up date of 04 November 2025. The order will remain in force for a period of 18 months, to allow for unexpected events and possible remedial works.
- The prohibitions apply only during such time and to such extent as indicated by prescribed traffic signs.
- Nothing in the Order applies to: (a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works or any public service or utility vehicle; (b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a civil enforcement officer; or (c) any vehicle being used for Police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes.
- Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986. ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14 (1)Temporary Bus Lane Suspension Paradise Road & Footpath Closure Church Walk, Richmond (Reference 25/180)
- The Council of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate building development works, they have made a temporary Traffic Order, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic in Paradise Road, Richmond and a footpath closure in Church Walk Road, Richmond.
- Whilst the works take place, the bus lane in Paradise Road will be suspended between the points where the vehicular traffic shall be permitted to proceed in that length of bus lane.
- Church Walk footpath will be closed from outside No. 4 Church Walk to outside the junction with Paradise Road.
- The order will come into effect on 16 October 2025, the works are anticipated to be in progress Monday to Friday between the hours 10am and 4pm from 16 October 2025 to 07 August 2026. The order will remain in force for a period of 18 months, to allow for unexpected events and possible remedial works.
- The prohibitions apply only during such time and to such extent as indicated by prescribed traffic signs.
- Nothing in the Order applies to: (a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works or any public service or utility vehicle; (b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a civil enforcement officer; or (c) any vehicle being used for Police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes.
- Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986. ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14 (1)Temporary Road Closure Somerset Road, Teddington. (Reference 25/177)
- The Council of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate building development works, they have made a temporary Traffic Order, the effect of which will be to introduce a temporary prohibition of traffic in Somerset Road, Teddington.
- Whilst the works take place no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed, wait or stand in Somerset Road, Teddington from the junction with Church Road for a distance of 20 metres to outside a point outside the boundary wall of number 51/52A Somerset Road.
- Whilst Somerset Road, Teddington is closed, an alternative route for diverted traffic will be available via Elmbridge Road, Victoria Road, Church Road and vice versa.
- The order will come into effect on 20 October 2025. These works are anticipated to be in progress from 20 October to 24 October 2025, with a back up date in case for a period of 18 months, to allow for unexpected events and possible remedial works.
- The prohibitions apply only during such time and to such extent as indicated by prescribed traffic signs.
- Nothing in the Order applies to: (a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works or any public service or utility vehicle; (b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a civil enforcement officer; or (c) any vehicle being used for Police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes.
- Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.
