Notice is given that the Council of the City of Peterborough has made an Order pursuant to section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984:
The City of Peterborough Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic Order 2025 –
Eye Road, Dogsthorpe Ref: 26-169
To extend the previous notice, the effect of which is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along the road known as Eye Road, Dogsthorpe, as lies between 242 and end of road at the dead end section. The Council is satisfied that traffic should be prohibited due to proposed works being executed on the above road. There is no alternative route for vehicles affected by this order. The proposed order came into force on the 26/09/2025 and will continue until the collapsed sewer works have been completed or until the 25/09/2026, whichever is the earlier. Closure dates will be confirmed locally on site. It is anticipated that the works will take place between the 26/09/2025 and the 31/10/2025. The City of Peterborough Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic Order 2025 –
St James Avenue Ref: 26-172
The effect of which is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along the road known as St James Avenue, as lies between a point 80m south west of it’s junction with Portland Avenue, and 30m further south west. The Council is satisfied that traffic should be prohibited due to proposed works being executed on the above road. The alternative route for vehicles affected by this order is: none available. The proposed order will come into force on the 27/10/2025 and will continue until the new electrical connection works have been completed or until the 26/10/2026, whichever is the earlier. King Street, Lolham, Maxey Ref: 26-171
The effect of which is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along the road known as King Street, Lolham, Maxey as lies between points 20 metres either side of Lolham Level Crossing. The Council is satisfied that traffic should be prohibited due to proposed works being executed on the above road. The alternative route for vehicles affected by this order is: via B1443 King St, West St, Glinton Rd, Helpston Rd, A15, Maxey Rd and High St. The proposed Order will come into force on the 26/10/2025 and will continue until the railway level crossing maintenance works have been completed or until the 25/10/2026, whichever is the earlier. Closure dates will be confirmed locally on site. It is anticipated that the works will take place between 23:00 and 06:00 on the 26/10/2025 and 27/10/2025. The effect of which is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along the road known as Holland Avenue, as lies between Caverstede Road and Fulbridge Road, one way only. The Council is satisfied that traffic should be prohibited due to proposed works being executed on the above road. The alternative route for vehicles affected by this order is: Holland Avenue, Croyland Road, Churchfield Road, Paston Lane. The proposed order will come into force on the 29/10/2025 and will continue until the electrical link box replacement works have been completed or until the 28/10/2026, whichever is the earlier. The alternative route for vehicles affected by this order is: via Glinton Rd, Maxey Rd, Helpston, Maxey Road, Maxey, High Street, Maxey Road, Northborough, A15, Helpston Road, Glinton, Helpston Road, Etton and vice versa. The proposed Order will come into force on the 01/11/2025 and will continue until the railway level crossing maintenance works have been completed or until the 31/10/2026, whichever is the earlier. The effect of which is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along the road known as Woodcroft Road & Hurn Road, as lies between Marholm Farm and Gatehouse Farm. The Council is satisfied that traffic should be prohibited due to proposed works being executed on the above road. The alternative route for vehicles affected by this order is: Walton Road, Stamford Road, King Street, West Street, Glinton Road, Helpston Road, Woodcroft Road and vice versa. The proposed order will come into force on the 03/11/2025 and will continue until the installation of BT poles works have been completed or until the 02/11/2026, whichever is the earlier. Closure dates will be confirmed locally on site. It is anticipated that the works will take place between the 03/11/2025 and the 07/11/2025. The Council is satisfied that traffic should be prohibited due to proposed works being executed on the above road. The alternative route for vehicles affected by this order is: Ufford Road, Helpston Road, Bainton Green Road and vice versa. The proposed order will come into force on the 04/11/2025 and will continue until the water meter exchange works have been completed or until the 03/11/2026, whichever is the earlier. The City of Peterborough, Fletton Parkway, Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984 as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991 (Temporary Restriction of Through
Traffic) Notice 26-176 2025 Ref: 26-176
The effect of which is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along the road known as Fletton Parkway, junction 1 eastbound on slip for it’s entire length. Access will be maintained to properties affected by this Notice. The Council is satisfied that traffic should be prohibited due to proposed works being executed on the above road. The alternative route for vehicles affected by this order is: Fletton Parkway J1 roundabout, Fletton Parkway westbound, A1(M) J17, Fletton Parkway eastbound. This notice is made in the interest of VRS repair works and will remain effective for no more than 5 days from 27/10/2025. The Notice shall not apply to any persons lawfully engaged in connection with any works for which it is made, any member of the Police Force, Fire and Rescue Service, Ambulance Service, a vehicle being used by Special Forces during the execution of their duties or any person acting with permission or upon the direction of a police Officer in uniform.
