WAITING AND LOADING RESTRICTIONS
IN VARIOUS ROADS
THE MERTON (WAITING AND LOADING RESTRICTION) (AMENDMENT NO. 541) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Merton, on 13 October 2025, made the above-mentioned Order under sections 6 and 124 of, and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.
The general effect of the “Waiting and Loading” Order will be to further amend the Merton (Waiting and Loading Restriction) Order 1977, so that waiting by vehicles (otherwise than for the purpose of delivering or collecting goods or loaing or unloading a vehicle for 40 minutes) will be prohibited at any time in the roads or lengths of road described in the Schedule to this Notice.
A copy of the Order, which will come into force on 27 October 2025, and other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Order, including plans specifying the roads or lengths of road affected by the Order, can be inspected during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive until the end of six weeks from the date on which the Orders were made at Merton Link, Merton Civic Centre, London Road, Morden, SM4 5DX.
Any person desiring to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or that any of the relevant requirements thereof, or of any relevant regulations made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may, within six weeks from the date on which the Order was made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Merton, on 13 October 2025, made the above-mentioned Orders under the powers conferred by sections 45, 46, 49 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.
The general effect of the Orders will be to convert sections of existing parking places in lengths of road generally fronting the locations referred to in the Schedule to this notice to single yellow line waiting restrictions matching the operational times of the controlled parking zone operating at each of those locations to facilitate proposed crossovers.
A copy of the Orders, which will come into force on 27 October 2025, and other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Orders, including a plan which indicates the roads or lengths of road to which the Orders relate, can be inspected during normal office hours Mondays to Fridays, until the end of six weeks from the date on which the Orders were made, at Merton Link, Merton Civic Centre, London Road, Morden.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Merton propose to make the above-mentioned Orders under the powers conferred by sections 45, 46, 49 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.
The general effect of the Orders would be to convert sections of existing parking places in lengths of road generally fronting the locations referred to in the Schedule to this notice to single yellow line waiting restrictions matching the operational times of the controlled parking zone operating at each of those locations to facilitate proposed crossovers.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)
LONDON BOROUGH OF MERTON
(DUNDONALD ROAD AND HARTFIELD CRESCENT, SW19) (TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
The London Borough of Merton Council hereby give notice that to facilitate tram track maintenance works at the Dundonald Road / Hartfield Crescent tram crossing, they intend to make an Order, the effect of which would be to temporarily prohibit vehicular traffic in Dundonald Road and in Hartfield Crescent.
Whilst the works take place no person would:–
(a) cause or permit any vehicle to enter or proceed in:
(i) Dundonald Road, between its junction with Hartfield Crescent and the north-east kerb-line of the service road leading to the Wimbledon West Goods Yard; and
(ii) Hartfield Crescent, between its junction with Dundonald Road and a point 2 metres south-west of the common boundary of Nos. 64 and 66 Hartfield Crescent;
(b) wait, including for the purpose of loading or unloading any vehicle, in the lengths of road specified in sub-paragraphs (a)(i) and (ii) above.
The above works and the restriction outside No. 14 Dundonald Road would be suspended.
The prohibition would only apply during such times and to such extent as shall be indicated by traffic signs which may be in place at such times as the works proceed.
The Order would be made under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and the General Directions 2016.
Vehicular traffic affected by the road closure should proceed as follows:–
(a) north-eastbound via Fairlawn Road, Wilton Crescent, Kingston Road and Hartfield Road; or
(b) south-westbound via Hartfield Road, The Broadway, Sir Cyril Black Way, Hartfield Road, Kingston Road, Wilton Crescent and Fairlawn Road.
Nothing in the Order would apply to:–
(a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works; or
(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a police community support officer in uniform; or
(c) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes, subject to site conditions.
Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.
The Order would apply from Thursday 30th October 2025 until Sunday 2nd November 2025 inclusive. It is anticipated the works would be carried out during the following times:
(a) between 10pm on Thursday 30th October and 6am on Friday 31st October 2025;
(b) between 10pm on Friday 31st October and 6pm on Saturday 1st November 2025;
(c) between 11pm on Saturday 1st November and 8am on Sunday 2nd November 2025;
(d) between 8pm and 11pm on Sunday 2nd November 2025.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTIONS 14(1)
LONDON BOROUGH OF MERTON
(ROTHESAY AVENUE, SW20) (TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) (NO. 2) ORDER 2025
The Council of the London Borough of Merton hereby give notice that to facilitate critical fire safety remedial works at No. 1A Rothesay Avenue, SW20, (St George’s Court) they intend to make an Order, the effect of which would be to introduce temporary waiting and loading restrictions in the said road.
During the works, no person would cause or permit any vehicle to wait, including for the purpose of loading or unloading a vehicle, in Rothesay Avenue, the north-east side, from its junction with Kingston Road, north-westward for a distance of 40 metres.
Any designated parking place situated in the road or length of road specified in paragraph 2 above would be suspended for the duration of the works.
The restrictions would only apply during such times and to such extent as would from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
Nothing in the Order would apply to:–
(a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works or for the loading or unloading of construction delivery vehicles; or
(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a police community support officer in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer; or
(c) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes, subject to site conditions.
Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.
The Order would come into operation on Friday 24 October 2025 and would remain in force for 3 months.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)
(THE BROADWAY AND QUEENS ROAD, SW19) (TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
The Council of the London Borough of Merton hereby give notice that to facilitate sewer cover replacement works in The Broadway, SW19, they have made an Order, the effect of which will be to temporarily restrict vehicular traffic in the said road and in Queens Road.
During the works, no person will:–
(a) cause or permit any vehicle to enter or proceed in The Broadway, between its junction with Queens Road and the common boundary of Nos. 46 and 48 Wimbledon Bridge;
(b) cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in Queens Road, between its junction with The Broadway and its junction with the access to the Wimbledon Quarter car park, other than in a generally north-eastbound direction;
(c) cause or permit any vehicle to wait, including for the purpose of loading or unloading any vehicle, in the roads or lengths of roads specified in sub-paragraphs 2(a) and 2(b), above.
During the period of the works:–
(a) the bus lane in The Broadway, outside the Wimbledon Quarter, will not be suspended;
(b) vehicles proceeding south-eastbound in The Broadway will proceed left of the island site at the junction of The Broadway with Queens Road and turn left into Queens Road;
(d) vehicles proceeding south-westbound in Queens Road will, upon reaching its junction with the access road to the Wimbledon Quarter car park, turn right into the access road to the Wimbledon Quarter car park or into the Wimbledon Quarter service area as appropriate.
