What is happening?
CUMBERLAND COUNCIL (FOOTPATH NO. 250001 IN THE PARISH OF SEATON) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PEDESTRIANS) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Order made by Cumberland Council on 27 August 2024, which became operative on 2 September 2024, to enable step repair and replacement works to be carried out (“the Works”) and which would otherwise expire on 2 December 2025
:has been continued in force with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport until 2 December 2026.
The effect of the Order is to prohibit pedestrians from proceeding along an approx. 32 metre length of Public Footpath No. 250001 at Queen’s Avenue in the Parish of Seaton between Grid Reference: 301467 529654, at the top of the steps and Grid Reference: 301486 529630 at the bottom of the steps.
There is no suitable alternative route available for pedestrians.
