What is happening?

THE NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL (WELLINGTON ROAD AREA, NEWARK ON TRENT) (AMENDMENTS TO RESIDENTS’ CONTROLLED ZONE) TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2025 (3418)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council proposes to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, Traffic Management Act 2004, as amended, and The Civil Enforcement of Parking Contraventions (County of Nottinghamshire) Designation Order 2008 (SI 2008 No. 1086), as amended, the effects of which will be in respect of roads at Newark in the Newark and Sherwood District:

WELLINGTON ROAD, NEWARK ON TRENT

  1. Proposed prohibition of Waiting At Any Time along the following lengths of road: (east side)
  • From its junction with Beacon Hill Road in a north-easterly direction for 38 metres.
  • From its junction with Sleaford Road in a south-westerly direction for 6 metres.   (the west side)

  • From its junction with Beacon Hill Road in a north-easterly direction for 10 metres

  • From a point 35 metres north-east of its junction with Beacon Hill Road in a north-easterly direction for 9 metres.

  • From its junction with Sleaford Road in a south-westerly direction for 34 metres

    2   To provide Dual Use Residents’ or 2-Hours Parking  Mon – Sat 8am – 7.30pm  (west side)

  • From a point 10 metres north-east of its junction with Beacon Hill Road in a north-easterly direction for 25 metres

    3   To provide Residents’ Only Parking  Mon – Sat 8am – 7.30pm  (the east side)

  • From a point 38 metres north-east of its junction with Beacon Hill Road in a north-easterly direction for 166 metres (west side)
  • From a point 44 metres north-east of its junction with Beacon Hill Road in a north-easterly direction for 135 metres
