Croydon, Multiple Roads, Temporary Closures Due To Various Works

What is happening?

CROYDON COUNCILROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT, 1984. SECTION 14 AS AMENDED THE ROAD TRAFFIC (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991 AND ALL OTHER ENABLING POWERS PARK ROAD, KENLEY TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICULAR TRAFFIC & PARKING

  1. Croydon Council, HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate drainage works they have made an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit vehicular traffic movements and parking in Park Road, Kenley.

  2. Whilst the said works are taking place:

    1. Park Road will be closed between its junctions with Hayes Lane and Oaks Way.
    2. Parking within the closure area will be suspended and waiting and loading restrictions will apply at any time.
  3. During the closure, the alternative route for traffic will be via Godstone Road A22, Whyteleafe Hill, Salmons Lane West, Buxton Lane, Hayes Lane and reversed.

  4. The Order will come into operation on 20 October 2025, and it is anticipated that the works will be completed on 05 November 2025. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further works be required.

  5. These restrictions shall not apply in respect of: (a) a vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes, or the purposes of a statutory undertaker in an emergency, such as the loss of supplies of gas, electricity or water to premises in the area, which necessitates the bringing of vehicles into a section of road to which the order applies. (b) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer. (c) any vehicle involved in carrying out the specified works.

  1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate kerb and footway works and the installation of a zebra crossing, they intend to make an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict traffic movements and parking in Bingham Road, Croydon.

  2. Whilst the works are taking place:

    1. Bingham Road will be closed between its junction with Lower Addiscombe Road and the tram line.
    2. Parking within the closure area will be suspended and waiting and loading restrictions will apply at any time.
  3. The Order will come into operation on 03 November 2025, and it is anticipated that the works will be completed on 14 November 2025. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further work be required.

  4. Whilst the closure is in place the alternative route for vehicular traffic will be via Lower Addiscombe Road, Shirley Road and reversed.

  5. The restriction shall not apply in respect of: (a) a vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes, or the purposes of a statutory undertaker in an emergency, such as the loss of supplies of gas, electricity or water to premises in the area, which necessitates the bringing of vehicles into a section of road to which the order applies. (b) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer. (c) any vehicle involved in carrying out the specified works.

CROYDON COUNCILROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT, 1984. SECTION 14 AS AMENDED THE ROAD TRAFFIC (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991 TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC CLIFF END, SELCROFT ROAD, PURLEY HILL, & OAKWOOD AVENUE, PURLEY - TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC

  1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate gas main replacement works by SGN, they intend to make an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict traffic in Cliff End, Purley Hill, Selcroft Road and Oakwood Avenue, Purley.

  2. Whilst the said works are taking place:

    1. The entire length of Cliff End will be closed from 03 to 28 November 2025.
    2. The entire length of Selcroft Road will be closed from 14 November to 23 December 2025.
    3. The entire length of Purley Hill will be closed from 28 November to 23 December 2025.
    4. The entire length of Oakwood Avenue will be closed from 02 January to 13 February 2026.
  3. During the closures, the alternative routes for vehicular traffic will be as detailed below:

    1. Cliff End — Access heavily restricted between 8am and 4pm but maintained outside of working hours.
    2. Selcroft Road — via Warren Road, and Downs Court Road.
    3. Purley Hill — via Oakwood Avenue, Downs Court Road, and Selcroft Road.
    4. Oakwood Avenue — via Selcroft Road, Warren Road, Riddlesdown Road, and Downs Court Road.
  4. The Order will come into operation on 03 November 2025, and it is anticipated that the works will be completed as above. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further work be required.

  5. These restrictions shall not apply in respect of: (a) a vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes, or the purposes of a statutory undertaker in an emergency, such as the loss of supplies of gas, electricity or water to premises in the area, which necessitates the bringing of vehicles into a section of road to which the order applies.   1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate a detailed examination of the railway bridge they intend to make an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict vehicular traffic in Croham Road.

  2. Whilst the said works are taking place Croham Road will be closed between its junction with Mugdenside Close and the western boundary of No. 30 and 30a Croham Road.

  3. The alternative route for vehicular traffic during the closure will be Brighton Road, South End, Coombe Road, South Park Hill Road and vice versa.

  4. The Order will come into operation on 06 November 2025, and it is anticipated that the works will be completed between 10pm and 6am. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further work be required.

  5. These restrictions shall not apply in respect of: (a) any vehicle involved in carrying out the said works. (b) a vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes, or the purposes of a statutory undertaker in an emergency, such as the loss of supplies of gas, electricity or water to premises in the area, which necessitates the bringing of vehicles into a section of road to which the order applies. (c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

CROYDON COUNCILROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT, 1984. SECTION 14 AS AMENDED AND THE ROAD TRAFFIC (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991 BALLARDS WAY, CROYDON TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC & PARKING

  1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate cable installation works by UKPN, they intend to make an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict vehicular traffic and parking in Ballards Way, Manor Way and Croham Valley Road, Wallis and Bernard, Manor Way and Croham Valley Road.

  2. Whilst the said works are taking place:

    1. Manor Way will be closed at its junction with Croham Valley Road from 30 October 2025 to 18 November 2025.
    2. Ballards Way will be closed at its junction with Croham Valley Road from 05 January 2026 to 22 January 2026.
    3. Croham Valley Road will be closed at its junction with Valley Road from 09 February 2026 to 24 February 2026.
    4. Parking will be suspended and waiting and loading restrictions will apply at any time in Ballards Way from its junction with Manor Way to its junction with Croham Valley Road for 30 metres southwards from 05 January 2026 to 22 January 2026.
    5. Parking will be suspended and waiting and loading restrictions will apply at any time in Manor Way from its junction with Croham Valley Road for 30 metres southwards from 30 October 2025 to 18 November 2025.
  3. The Order will come into operation on 30 October 2025 and it is anticipated the works will be completed as above. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further work be required.

  4. These restrictions shall not apply in respect of: (a) a vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes, or the purposes of a statutory undertaker in an emergency, such as the loss of supplies of gas, electricity or water to premises in the area, which necessitates the bringing of vehicles into a section of road to which the order applies. (b) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer. (c) any vehicle involved in carrying out the specified works.
