What is happening?

ESSEX COUNTY COUNCIL

(Deer Park View, Great Bardfield) (20mph Zone) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that Essex County Council has made the above Order under Sections 84(1)(a) and (2) and Part III of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended)

The Effect of the Order:

To Implement: - a '20mph Zone' (TRAF/8635)

Road:  Deer Park View 

Direction: From its junction with Braintree Road, for its entire remaining length including any private drives and turning heads.

Date of operation: The Order will come into operation on 20th October 2025.

(Boars Tye Road, Silver End) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Boars Tye Road, Silver End in the District of Braintree, from a point approximately 160m north west of its junction with Fenestra Way for a distance of approximately 70m in a north westerly direction.

The closure is scheduled to commence on 10th November 2025 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EN013326193A - Essex And Suffolk Water).

The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network.

The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new water connection. Works are undertaken by Essex and Suffolk Water.

An alternative route is available via: Boars Tye Road, Lanham Green Road, The Street, Polecat Road, B1018, Temple Lane, Boars Tye Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 23rd October 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Park Drive, Braintree & Bocking) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Park Drive, Braintree & Bocking in the District of Braintree, from a point approximately 55m south west of its junction with Challis Lane for a distance of approximately 20m in a south westerly direction.

The closure is scheduled to commence on 11th November 2025 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AD03166196049/1 - Anglian Water).

The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network.

The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by Anglian Water.

An alternative route is available via: Park Drive, Goldingham Drive, Milton Avenue, Masefield Road, Challis Lane, Park Drive and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 23rd October 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Beazley End, Wethersfield) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Beazley End, Wethersfield in the District of Braintree, from a point approximately 65m north east of its junction with Codham Mill Lane for a distance of approximately 70m in a north easterly direction.

The closure is scheduled to commence on 27th October 2025 for 9 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EC30023299679 - UK Power Networks).

The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network.

The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by UK Power Networks.

An alternative route is available via: Hedingham Road, Hudsons Hill, High Street, B1053, Church Lane, Church Street and vice versa.

The Order came into effect on 9th October 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Harrow Hill, Toppesfield) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Harrow Hill, Toppesfield in the District of Braintree, from its junction with Gainsford End Road for a distance of approximately 90m in a north westerly direction.

The closure is scheduled to commence on 29th October 2025 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (HP00177588491 - National Grid).

The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network.

The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while vegetation clearance works are undertaken by National Grid.

No alternative route is available.

The Order came into effect on 9th October 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Pentlow Lane, Pentlow) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Pentlow Lane, Pentlow in the District of Braintree, from a point approximately 2070m north west of its junction with Foxearth Road to the Suffolk District Border a distance of approximately 65m.

The closure is scheduled to commence on 27th October 2025 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP20196388923 - Essex County Council).

The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network.

The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while culvert repairs works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

An alternative route is available via: Pentlow Lane, Melford Road, Lower Road, Clare Road, Windmill Hill, Westgate Street, High Street, Hall Street, Footway Beside 149 Cordell Road To Outside No.145 Cordell Place, Smaley Lane, Little St Marys, Chapel Green, Southgate Street, Station Road, Rodbridge Hill, Borley Road, Halstead Road, Foxearth Road, School Street, The Street, Mill Road, Pentlow Hill, Pentlow Street and vice versa.

The Order came into effect on 9th October 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Skye Green Road, Feering) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Skye Green Road, Feering in the District of Braintree, from a point approximately 595m north east of its junction with Coggeshall Road for a distance of approximately 30m in a north easterly direction.

The closure is scheduled to commence on 28th October 2025 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (AD03063300791 - Anglian Water).

The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network.

The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while meter maintenance works are undertaken by Anglian Water.

An alternative route is available via: Coggeshall Road, The Street, Hanover Square, Wills Green, Old Road and vice versa. (with access only into Skye Green Road).

The Order came into effect on 9th October 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
