ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14
(HILLCREST ROAD, CASTLEFORD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 323) 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds for installation of new water supply connections to be carried out as follows:-
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Hillcrest Road, Castleford, outside number 34. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Hillcrest Road.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Hillcrest Road, Hillcrest Mount, Kendal Drive, Mayors Walk, Hillcrest Road & vice versa.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 27th October 2025 to 31st October 2025, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.
(GREAT NORTH ROAD, KNOTTINGLEY)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 324) 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds for detailed bridge inspection to be carried out as follows:
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Great North Road, Knottingley from the start of the slip road to the junction of Great North Road. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Great North Road.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: A162, Ferrybridge Interchange, A162.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 25th October 2025 to 27th October 2025, 2 night shifts, 22.00 hours to 06.00 hours, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.
(SOWGATE LANE, PONTEFRACT)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 325) 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds for year 1 pressure management to be carried out as follows:
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Sowgate Lane, Pontefract for approximately 30 metres. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Sowgate Lane.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Sowgate Lane, Stumpcross Lane & vice versa.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 27th October 2025 to 4th November 2025, 08.00 hours to 18.00 hours, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.
(SIMPSONS LANE & SPAWD BONE LANE, KNOTTINGLEY)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 326) 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds for gas main replacement to be carried out as follows:
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Simpsons Lane & Spawd Bone Lane, Knottingley. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed lengths of Simpsons Lane & Spawd Bone Lane, Knottingley.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Simpsons Lane, Kershaw Lane, Hazel Road, Spawd Bone Lane, Simpsons Lane & vice versa.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 28th October 2025 to 24th November 2025, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.
(MILL LANE, SOUTH KIRKBY)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 330) 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds for carriageway resurfacing works to be carried out as follows:-
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Mill Lane, South Kirkby, full length. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Mill Lane.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Stockingate, White Apron Street & vice versa.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 27th October 2025 to 7th November 2025 between 08.00 hours and 18.00 hours daily, open at all other times, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.
(ORCHARD HEAD LANE, PONTEFRACT)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 333) 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds for gas main replacement to be carried out as follows:
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Orchard Head Lane, Pontefract for approximately 21.96 metres. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Orchard Head Lane.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Orchard Head Lane, Orchard Head Drive, Holmfield Lane, Orchard Head Lane & vice versa.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 27th October 2025 to 31st October 2025, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.
(ARNCLIFFE DRIVE, FERRYBRIDGE)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 345) 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds for pressure management PRV installation to be carried out as follows:-
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Arncliffe Drive, Ferrybridge for approximately 30 metres. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Arncliffe Drive.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Arncliffe Drive, St Andrew’s Drive, Kingsley Avenue, Pontefract Road & vice versa
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 10th November 2025 at 08.00 hours to 18th November 2025 at 18.00 hours or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.
(HORSEFAIR, PONTEFRACT)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 346) 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds for the Streets for People scheme to be carried out as follows:-
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Horsefair, Pontefract. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Horsefair.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Westbound traffic – North Baileygate, Northgate. Eastbound traffic – Jubilee Way coming off the slip road and heading down Stuart Road. Baxtergate bollards to be removed. Traffic will be notified at the Broad Lane/Southgate junction that access will not be permitted past the bus station/road closed ahead.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 7th November 2025 to 14th November 2025, weekdays only between 07.00 hours to 17.00 hours or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.
