What is happening?

Mae Cyngor Sir Dinas a Sir Caerdydd, wrth arfer ei bwerau dan Adran 
14(1) Deddf Rheoleiddio Traffig Ffyrdd 1984 (fel y’i diwygiwyd), a’r holl 
bwerau galluogi eraill, ymhen llai na 7 diwrnod wedi dyddiad yr 
Hysbysiad hwn, yn bwriadu gwneud Gorchymyn a’i effaith gyffredinol 
fydd atal unrhyw berson rhag defnyddio neu fynd ar hyd:
I. Llwybr Troed yr Eglwys Newydd Rhif 83 o Heol y Fforest i Fforest 
Fawr, i'r gogledd o Gastell Coch 
II. Llwybr Troed yr Eglwys Newydd Rhif 87 o faes parcio Heol y Fforest i 
diroedd Castell Coch 
III.Llwybr Troed yr Eglwys Newydd Rhif 87 o diroedd Castell Coch i faes 
parcio Fforest Fawr 
IV.Llwybr Troed yr Eglwys Newydd Rhif 98 ar ei hyd at ffin sirol Rhondda 
Cynon Taf
V.Taith Taf o Dŷ Rhiw i Gastell Coch
Mae’r Gorchymyn hwn yn ofynnol i hwyluso gwaith ar y llwybrau troed 
neu gerllaw, a disgwylir iddo fod ar waith o ddydd Sadwrn 1 Tachwedd 
2025 tan ddydd Sul 28 Chwefror 2025 neu nes i’r gwaith gael ei 
gwblhau.
Dim ond ar yr adegau ac i’r graddau a nodir ar arwyddion a/neu 
hysbysiadau sy’n cael eu harddangos y bydd y cyfyngiad dan sylw ar 
waith. Bydd y Gorchymyn ar waith am hyd at 6 mis.
Enw’r Gorchymyn fydd "Gorchymyn Cyngor Sir Dinas a Sir Caerdydd 
(Llwybrau Troed Fforest Fawr, Caerdydd) (Cau Llwybrau Troed Dros 
Dro) 20251".

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC PROPOSAL
THE COUNTY COUNCIL OF THE CITY AND COUNTY OF CARDIFF 
(FFOREST FAWR FOOTPATHS, CARDIFF) (TEMPORARY 
FOOTPATH CLOSURES) ORDER 2025
The County Council of the City and County of Cardiff in exercise of its 
powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as 
amended), and of all other enabling powers intends in not less than 7 
days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the general effect of 
which is to prevent any person from using or proceeding along: 
I. Whitchurch Footpath No.83 from Heol y Fforest to Fforest Fawr, north 
of Castell Coch 
II. Whitchurch Footpath No.87 from Heol y Fforest car park to Castell 
Coch grounds 
III.Whitchurch Footpaths No.85 and No.86 from Castell Coch grounds to 
Fforest Fawr car park 
IV.Whitchurch Footpath No.98 throughout its length to the Rhondda 
Cynon Taf County boundary
V.Taff Trail from Ty Rhiw to Castell Coch
The Order is necessary to facilitate works on or near the footpaths and is 
expected to be in operation from Saturday 1st November 2025 until 
Saturday 28th February 2026 or until works are complete.
The restriction specified will only have the effect at such times and to 
such extent as indicated by the display of signs and/or notices. The 
Order will remain in force for a maximum of 6 months.
The Order will be known as “The County Council of the City and County 
of Cardiff (Fforest Fawr Footpaths, Cardiff) (Temporary Footpath 
Closures) Order 2025”.
