High Street, Temporary Road Closure Due To Water Works
What is happening?
ESSEX COUNTY COUNCIL
(High Street, Langham) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of High Street, Langham in the City of Colchester, from a point approximately 95m north west of its junction with Moor Road for a distance of approximately 30m in a north westerly direction.
The closure is scheduled to commence on 10th November 2025 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AD03010723077 - Anglian Water).
The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network.
The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while remedial works are undertaken by Anglian Water.
An alternative route is available via: Moor Road, Chapel Road and vice versa (with access only into High Street).
The Order will come into effect on 23rd October 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
