THE MIDLOTHIAN COUNCIL

(CAERKETTON AVENUE, BILSTON)

(TEMPORARY PARKING SUSPENSION WITH WAITING, LOADING AND UNLOADING RESTRICTIONS) ORDER 2025 - TTRO/R 5.4.290

Notice is hereby given that Midlothian Council has made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffi c Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which is that for a temporary period there will be a parking suspension with waiting, loading and unloading restrictions on the Northern kerbline of Caerketton Avenue, Bilston up to the parking area to the end of the Caerketton Avenue. The said parking area shall also be subject to the parking suspension and waiting, loading and unloading restrictions. The suspension and restrictions are necessary to facilitate Scottish Water infrastructure upgrade works and to maintain an unobstructed carriageway for general traffic during said work. The Order has effect on 3 November 2025 and shall remain in force up to and including 7 December 2025. Pedestrian access will be maintained.

(BILSTON BURN, BILSTON)

(TEMPORARY FOOTPATH CLOSURE) ORDER 2025 - TTRO/R 5.4.291

Notice is hereby given that Midlothian Council has made an Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffi c Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which is that for a temporary period to facilitate Scottish Water infrastructure upgrade works, the footpath off the A701 through to Castlelaw Crescent and Caerketton Avenue will be closed. The Order shall come into operation on 3 November 2025 and shall remain in force up to and including 7 December 2025. The alternative route for pedestrian access will be via Castlelaw Crescent, Allermuir Avenue, Moorfoot View, A701 and vice versa.

(MYRTLE CRESCENT, BILSTON)

(TEMPORARY PARKING SUSPENSION WITH WAITING, LOADING AND UPLOADING RESTRICTIONS) ORDER 2025 - TTRO/R 5.4.292

Notice is hereby given that Midlothian Council has made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffi c Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which is that for a temporary period there will be a parking suspension with waiting, loading and unloading restrictions on both kerblines of Myrtle Crescent, Bilston from the crossroads with Meadow Place to the junction with Eskgrove Drive, excluding the parking bays outside properties Number 17 to Number 38 Myrtle Crescent, for a distance of 180 meters of thereby. The suspension and restrictions are necessary to facilitate Scottish Water infrastructure upgrade works and to maintain an unobstructed carriageway for general traffic during said work. The Order shall come into operation on 3 November 2025 and shall remain in force up to and including 7 December 2025. Pedestrian access will be maintained.

(SEAFIELD ROAD, BILSTON)

(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2025 - TTRO/R 5.4.293

Notice is hereby given that Midlothian Council has made an Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which is that for a temporary period, to facilitate carriageway resurfacing works, Seafield Road, Bilston will be closed to through traffic between its junction with the A701 and Reeforts Avenue. The Order has effect on 3 November 2025 and shall remain in force up to and including 16 November 2025. Pedestrian access will be maintained. Vehicular access for residents of Seafield Crescent, Pentland Court and Seafield Close will be maintained. Alternative routes for general vehicular traffic will be clearly sign posted.

THE MIDLOTHIAN COUNCIL

(VARIOUS ROADS)

(PROHIBITION AND RESTRICTION ON WAITING, LOADING AND UNLOADING ETC) (VARIATION NO 20) ORDER 2025  - TO/R5.3.156

Midlothian Council on 20 October 2025 made the above Order, which will come into force on 3 November 2025. The Order extends double yellow line waiting restrictions on a section of Easthouses Road, Easthouses. Details may be examined from 23 October to 1 December 2025 at www.tellmescotland.gov.uk, at Libraries or from david.chambers@midlothian.gov.uk. Anyone wishing to question the validity of the Order or of any of its provisions on the grounds that they are not within the powers of the relevant enabling Act, or that a requirement of such Act or of any relevant regulation has not been complied with, may within six weeks from 20 October 2025 apply for this purpose to the Court of Session.

THE MIDLOTHIAN COUNCIL

(PARKING PLACES FOR DISABLED MOTORISTS) (VARIATION NO _) ORDER 2025  - TO/R5.3.165

The Council proposes to make a new Order to add further enforceable ‘Disabled’ parking bays to the Order which lists all such bays in Midlothian.

Details may be examined from 23 October to 14 November 2025 at Libraries, at www.tellmescotland.gov.uk or from rebecca.marr@midlothian.gov.uk.

Anyone wishing to object to the proposed Order should send details of the grounds of their objection in writing, quoting reference TO/R5.3.165 and naming the location concerned, to: The Legal Services Manager, Midlothian Council, Fairfield House, 8 Lothian Street, Dalkeith, Midlothian EH22 3AA, or to legal@midlothian.gov.uk, to arrive not later than 14 November 2025.
