What is happening?
D7011 Wesley Drive, Egham
Proposed 20 mph Speed Limit Zone
On 21 October 2025 Surrey County Council made “The Surrey
County Council D7011 Wesley Drive, Egham (20 mph Speed Limit
Zone) Order 2025”, under Section 84 of the Road Traffic Regulation
Act 1984 (as amended) and of all other enabling powers, which will
come into force on 27 October 2025, the effect of which will be to
impose a 20mph speed limit on the entire length of the roads in
Egham specified in the First Schedule to this Notice, that will be
signed as a 20mph Zone. The speed limits imposed by this Order
shall not apply to vehicles used by special forces in accordance
with the Road Traffic Exemptions (Special Forces) (Variation and
Amendment) Regulations 2011. A copy of this Notice together with
a copy of the made Order, a plan showing the lengths of road to
which this Order relates and a Statement of the Council’s reasons
for making the Order may be viewed during normal opening hours
at:- 1) Runnymede Borough Council, Civic Centre, Station Road,
Addlestone, Surrey KT15 2AH; 2) Egham Library, High Street,
Egham, Surrey, TW20 9EA; and 3) Surrey County Council, Hazel
House, Merrow Lane, Guildford, Surrey GU4 7BQ.
