(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF WHITE HORSE LANE, LONDON COLNEY AND LONDON COLNEY PUBLIC FOOTPATH NO.012 DURING THE ‘LONDON COLNEY FIREWORKS DISPLAY’) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be:-
To prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of White Horse Lane, London Colney from its junction with A414 North Orbital Road south eastwards, south westwards, south eastwards and south westwards to its junction with High Street, a distance of approximately 1224m* (“the Road”).
An alternative route will be via A414 North Orbital Road and High Street.
To prohibit all pedestrians from using London Colney Public Footpath No.012 from its junction with White Horse Lane south eastwards and south westwards for a distance of approximately 315m* (“the Public Footpath”).
There is no alternative route available for pedestrians during the event. However pedestrian access to properties along this footpath will be maintained wherever possible throughout the duration of the event.
The Order is needed to ensure public safety and prevent accidents for the duration of the ‘London Colney Fireworks Display’.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 2 November 2025 for a period of up to 6 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road and Public Footpath.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN A1081 LONDON COLNEY BYPASS, LONDON COLNEY) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of A1081 London Colney Bypass, London Colney from its junction with the A414 London Colney roundabout south eastwards to its junction with the A1081 Bell roundabout, a distance of approximately 2185m* (“the Road”).
An alternative route will be via A414 North Orbital Road, A405 North Orbital Road and the M25 or via High Street and Barnet Road.
ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of the length(s) of the Road whilst works are in progress.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 3 November 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”), except for access:-
that length of Cambridge Road, St Albans from its junction with Camp View Road south eastwards to its junction with Ashley Road, a distance of approximately 464m.
An alternative route will be via Sutton Road, Hedley Road and Ashley Road or via Cambridge Road, Camp View Road, Camp Road and Ashley Road.
that length of Ely Road, St Albans from its junction with Cambridge Road south westwards for a distance of approximately 33m.
An alternative route will be via Cambridge Road, College Road, Camp Road and Ely Road.
that length of Royston Road, St Albans from its junction with Cambridge Road south westwards for a distance of approximately 39m.
An alternative route will be via Cambridge Road, Wellington Road, Camp Road and Royston Road.
that length of Beresford Road, St Albans from its junction with Cambridge Road south westwards for a distance of approximately 35m.
An alternative route will be via Cambridge Road, Ashley Road, Camp Road and Beresford Road.
The Order is needed because sewer cleaning works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 3 November 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF WILLOUGHBY ROAD, HARPENDEN) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Willoughby Road, Harpenden from its junction with Ox Lane north westwards for a distance of approximately 172m* (“the Road”).
An alternative route will be via Ox Lane, Clarendon Road, St James Road and Willoughby Road or via Ox Lane, Clarendon Road and Lea Road.
The Order is needed because gas main works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 3 November 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Crown Street, Redbourn from a point 30m north east of its junction with Harding Close south westwards for a distance of approximately 60m* (“the Road”).
An alternative route will be via Crown Street, Harpenden Lane, Ver Road and Crown Street.
The Order is needed because the replacement of existing gas mains is proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 20 October 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”), except for access and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:-
the road situated on the east side of Nos.1-17 Nurseries Road, Wheathampstead from its junction with Nurseries Road north eastwards for its entire length.

that length of East Lane, Wheathampstead from its junction with Meads Lane south eastwards and north eastwards for a distance of approximately 103m.
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
that length of Sycamore Drive, St Albans from its junction with A5183 Park Street north eastwards to its junction with The Beeches, a distance of approximately 82m.

An alternative route will be via Crouch Hall Lane, Lamb Lane, The Common, Fish Street, High Road, Dunstable Road and Blackhorse Lane.
The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 20 October 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Mile House Lane, St Albans from its junction with Napsbury Lane south eastwards to its junction with Mile House Close, a distance of approximately 54m* (“the Road”), except for access.
An alternative route will be via Mile House Lane, Cottonmill Lane, Watsons Walk, A1081 London Road and Mile House Lane.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all pedestrians from using the following lengths of footpath (“the Footpaths”):-
the footpath fronting Nos.9-12 Spruce Way, Park Street from its junction with Spruce Way north westwards, south westwards and north westwards for its entire length.
There is no alternative route available for pedestrians when the works are being carried out. However pedestrian access to properties along this footpath will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
the footpath fronting Nos.9-12 Walnut Close, Park Street from its junction with Walnut Close north westwards to its junction with Spruce Way, a distance of approximately 27m.
An alternative route will be via the footway situated on the west and south sides of Walnut Close, the footway situated on the west side of Grovelands and the footway situated on the south and east sides of Spruce Way.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Footpaths.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 20 October 2025 for a period of up to 6 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Footpaths.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of the Order will be to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Walkers Road, Harpenden from a point 35 metres north east of its junction with Queens Road north eastwards for a distance of approximately 237m.
An alternative route will be via Walkers Road, St Albans Road, Bull Road, Southdown Road and Walkers Road.
To prohibit all pedestrians from using the footway situated on both sides of Walkers Road, Harpenden from a point 35m north east of its junction with Queens Road north eastwards for a distance of approximately 237m.
An alternative route will be via the footway situated on the north side of Walkers Road, the footway situated on the east and south east sides of Queens Road and the footway situated on the west and south west sides of Southdown Road and the footway situated on the south side of Walkers Road.
The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road and Footway.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 23 October 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road and Footway.
