What is happening?

PUBLIC NOTICE
THE WOLVERHAMPTON CITY COUNCIL
(THETFORD GARDENS/CYPRUS STREET/KNOWLES ROAD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Wolverhampton City Council propose to make
an Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as
substituted by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, prohibiting
vehicles from proceeding on the following stretches of road:
· Thetford Gardens closed its entire length in both directions. Access/egress to
be maintained. It is anticipated that the closure will operate from 3rd November
2025 until 7th November 2025, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30.
· Cyprus Street closed its entire length in both directions. Access/egress to be
maintained. It is anticipated that the closure will operate from 5th November
2025 until 12th November 2025, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30.
· Knowles Road closed its entire length in both directions. Access/egress to be
maintained. It is anticipated that the closure will operate from
7th November 2025 until 14th November 2025, between the hours of 19:00 and
05:00.
The Order may operate for a maximum period of eighteen months, but it is
anticipated that the works will be undertaken between the dates detailed above,
between the times stipulated.
The Order is required to facilitate carriageway resurfacing works.
