Lichfield Road - Temporary Traffic Prohibition
What is happening?
PUBLIC NOTICE
THE WOLVERHAMPTON CITY COUNCIL
(LICHFIELD ROAD) (TEMPORARY
PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Wolverhampton City
Council propose to make an Order under Section 14(1)(a) of
the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as substituted by the
Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, prohibiting
vehicles from proceeding on Lichfield Road in both directions
between the island at the junction of Wood End Road/
Lichfield Road and the junction of Taylor Street.
The Order may operate for a maximum period of eighteen
months, but it is anticipated that the works will be
undertaken on 2 November 2025, between the hours of
06:00 and 18:00.
The diversion route is: Neachells Lane, March End Road,
Lakefield Road and vice versa.
The Order is required to facilitate the installation of a
sculpture on the Island at the junction of Wood End Road/
Lichfield Road by the City of Wolverhampton Council.
