What is happening?

North Yorkshire Council, Temporary Prohibition of Traffic, Back Street from Crescent Avenue to John Street, Whitby, Order 2025, No. 376

We have made this Order to prohibit any vehicle from using Back Street from Crescent Avenue to John Street, Whitby for a temporary period (subject to access to premises) between 27/10/25 & 31/10/25, due to excavate & repair 1.8m deep damaged sewer works. However, the max duration of this Order is until 27/10/26. The closure period will be indicated by traffic signs & a local alternative route will be signed on site where appropriate. Temporary Prohibition of Traffic, Scar Lane, West Barnby, Order 2025, No. 406 We intend to make this Order to prohibit any vehicle from using Scar Lane, West Barnby for a temporary period (subject to access to premises) between 10/11/25 & 05/12/25, due to replacing overhead cables to underground cable works, excavations to locate cables, joint new and reinstate excavations including 1 joint bay in 5m trench in carriageway to replace overhead to underground to improve quality of supply. However, the max duration of this Order is until 10/05/26. The closure period will be indicated by traffic signs & a local alternative route will be signed on site where appropriate.
