Cleveland Street - Temporary Traffic Prohibition
What is happening?
PUBLIC NOTICE
THE WOLVERHAMPTON CITY COUNCIL
(CLEVELAND STREET) (TEMPORARY
PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Wolverhampton City
Council propose to make an Order under Section 14(1)(a)
of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as substituted by
the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991,
prohibiting vehicles from proceeding on the following
stretches of road:
· Cleveland Street bus lane closed from Cleveland Passage
to Summer Row. It is anticipated that the closure will
operate from 3 November 2025 until 21 November 2025.
Vehicle diversion route: Summer Row, Temple Street,
Worcester Street, Ring Road, Snow Hill.
· Cleveland Street bus lane suspended from
Cleveland Passage to the junction of Summer Row.
Cleveland Street bus lane suspended to allow
access/egress to site compound only. It is anticipated
that the suspension will operate from 22 November 2025
until 22 May 2027.
The Order may operate for a maximum period of eighteen
months, and it is anticipated that the works will be
undertaken between the dates specified above.
The Order is required to facilitate the construction of a
footway crossing and to allow access/egress into a
compound site by Taylor Woodrow.
