What is happening?
Temporary Closure of Rodmore Road
Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under
Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as
amended, have made an Order prohibiting all traffic from
proceeding along Rodmore Road - from the junction with
Rodmore Crescent, southwards for a total distance of
49 metres. This Order will enable BethMar Ltd to carry
out ducting works on behalf of Gigaclear.
The Order becomes effective on 23rd October 2025 and
will remain in force for 18 months. The works are
expected to commence on 28th October 2025 and last
until 4th November 2025 between the hours of 00:00 -
23:59 for a total of 8 days.There is no alternative route
for this closure. The works promoter will contact residents
and businesses directly to discuss access arrangements.

Statement of Reasons for making the Order
a) because works are being or are proposed to be
executed on or near the road; or b) because of the
likelihood of danger to the public, or of serious damage
to the road, which is not attributable to such works.
