Temporary Closure of Warminster Road and Lanes
End Hill
Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under
Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as
amended, have made an Order prohibiting all traffic from
proceeding along Warminster Road - from the junction with
Friggle Street, eastwards incorporating Lanes End Hill, for
a total distance of 1717 metres. This Order will enable
Openreach to carry out poling works.
The Order becomes effective on 23rd October 2025 and
will remain in force for 18 months. The works are expected
to commence on 27th October 2025 and last until 27th
October 2025 between the hours of 09:30 - 15:30 for a total

likelihood of danger to the public, or of serious damage
to the road, which is not attributable to such works
