Notice is hereby given that the Cheshire East Borough Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and of all other enabling powers proposes to make an order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit pedestrians.

This order will come into operation on Monday 10 November 2025 and will continue in force for 18 months or for such less time as is necessary to enable the works to be executed in the highway, although it is anticipated that the works will be completed by Wednesday 26 November 2025.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC

Mobberley Road, Knutsford

Notice is hereby given that the Cheshire East Borough Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and of all other enabling powers has made an order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic.

Prohibition of traffic – Mobberley Road, Knutsford

From the junction of Springwood Avenue to the junction of Longridge.

The alternative route will be via Mobberley Road, Hollow Lane, Brook Street, Chelford Road, Goughs Lane Roundabout, Knutsford Road, Chelford Roundabout, Alderley Road, Ryleys Lane, Wilmslow Road, Brook Lane, Hall Lane, Town Lane and vice versa which is considered the most suitable route.

This order will come into operation on Saturday 25 October 2025 and will continue in force for 18 months or for such less time as is necessary to complete the work to be executed in the highway, although it is anticipated that the works will be completed by Saturday 01 November 2025.

NOTICE OF MAKING – (Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting, Loading, Stopping and Street Parking Places) (Various Roads) (Consolidation) Order 2022

(Amendment No. 41) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that on 9 October 2025 Cheshire East Borough Council made an Order under Sections 1, 2, 4, 32, 35, 38, 45, 46, 49, 51, 53, 61 and 124, and Parts III and IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and all other enabling powers and in accordance with its duty under Section 122 of the said Act.

1. The effect of the Order, which will come into operation on 27 October 2025, will be to —

a) Amend the Cheshire East Borough Council (Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting, Loading, Stopping and Street Parking Places) (Various Roads) (Consolidation) Order 2022 by introducing the restrictions as outlined in Schedule 1 below and by adding Map Tile No. AA132 in the Consolidation Order schedules.

• West side – from the roundabout junction of A538 Wilmslow Road and Altrincham Road for a distance of 77 metres in a northerly direction.

• East side – from the roundabout junction of A538 Wilmslow Road and Altrincham Road for a distance of 79 metres in a northerly direction.

Loverose Lane

• North side – from the junction with Altrincham Road for a distance of 30 metres in an easterly direction.

• South side – from the junction with Altrincham Road for a distance of 20 metres in an easterly direction.

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PEDESTRIANS

Public Footpath No. 55 (Part) Parish of Mobberley

Notice is hereby given that the Secretary of State for Transport in pursuance of the power conferred upon him by sub-section 15 (5) of the aforementioned Section 15 has approved the Order being extended and continuing in force until 1st November 2026. The effect of the Order will be to temporarily prohibit pedestrians on the following:

That length of Public Footpath No.55 (Part) Mobberley, which commences at OS grid reference (OSGR) SJ 8085 8084 and runs in a generally east direction for approx. 302m. to the junction of Mobberley FP56 at OSGR SJ 8112 8082.

The closure is necessary to protect the public from danger while site clearance and associated building works are undertaken.

An alternative route is available on site.
