What is happening?

*The County of Dorset (Various Roads, Beaminster and A3066, Netherbury) (20mph, 30mph and 50mph Speed Limits) (No. ) Order 202*

Dorset Council proposes to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended.

The effect of the Order will be to introduce 20mph speed limits along sections of various roads within Beaminster and introduce a 50mph speed limit along a section of the A3066, Beaminster and Netherbury. It will also make a minor amendment to the existing 30mph speed limit for part of the A3066, Beaminster (no material changes will take place at this location).

Temporary Closure of Tower Hill, Netherbury

DORSET COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along TOWER HILL, NETHERBURY, between Ned’s Close and a point approximately 175 metres east.

The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 03 November 2025 and will remain in force for 18 months, however, it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 21 November 2025.

This Order will enable Dorset Council to carry out stabilisation works.

A locally signed diversion route will be put in place to enable traffic to travel around the closed section.

Temporary Closure of Hollow Way, Bothenhampton

DORSET COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along HOLLOW WAY, BOTHENHAMPTON between its junction with Lansdowne Road and its junction with Crook Lane, a distance of approximately 245 metres.

The order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 03 November 2025 and will remain in force for 18 months, however, it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 21 November 2025.

This Order will enable National Grid, safe access to carry out LV cable overlay.

An alternative vehicular route will be signed using: Crook Lane - A35
