Suffolk, Multiple Temporary Road Closures Due To Utility Works
What is happening?
SUFFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL
Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984: Section 14 -
Temporary Closure Of Part Of The B1111 Barningham Road And George Hill, Stanton
Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the following roads:
B1111 Bamingham Road, Stanton from 300 metres north of the junction with the A143 for 100 metres northbound
B1111 George Hill, Stanton from 400 metres north of the junction with the A143 for 100 metres northbound.
This is to facilitate a new electricity supply. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be the B1111, the A1066, the B1113, the A143, the B1111 and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 27/10/2025 - 05/11/2025 but if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

Temporary Closure Of Part Of The B1085 Turnpike Road, Red Lodge
Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the B1085 Turnpike Road, Red Lodge from 60 metres northeast of the Junction with Heath Farm Road for 20 metres north eastbound.
This is to facilitate repairs to a water defect. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be Turnpike Road, the B1085, the B1102, the A1101, the A11, Turnpike Road and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 27/10/2025 - 28/10/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

Temporary Closure Of Part Of The B1085 The Street, Moulton
Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the B1085 The Street, Moulton from 200 metres south of Newmarket Road for 50 metres southbound.
This is to facilitate underground electricity works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be the B1085, the B1063, the A1304, the B1506 the B1085 and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 27/10/2025 - 31/10/2025 from 8:00am - 6:00pm. If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

Temporary Closure Of Part Of The C621 Rattlers Road, Brandon
Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the C621 Rattlers Road, Brandon from the junction with The Orchard for 50 metres westbound.
This is to facilitate underground cabling works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be Rattlers Road, the A1065, the B1106, Rattlers Road and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate on 28/10/2025 from 9:30am – 3:30pm. If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

Temporary Closure Of Part Of The A1141 Stows Hill, Road From 8151 To A134 And Bury Road, Cockfield And Lavenham
Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the following roads:
the A1141 Stows Hill, Cockfield from Earls Hall Road, Cockfield to Road from 8151 to A134, Lavenham.
the A1141 Road from 8151 to A134, Lavenham.
the A1141 Bury Road, Lavenham from Road from 8151 to A134 to Frogs Hall Road.
This is to facilitate carriageway patching. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be the A1141, the B1071, the B1115, theA134, the A1141 and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 27/10/2025 - 30/10/2025 from 7:00pm – 5:00am with a further closure scheduled for associated works. If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the C714 Valley Road, Newton from the junction with Sudbury Road for 230 metres northbound.
This is to facilitate water service works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be the A134, the B1115 and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 27/10/2025 - 31/10/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

Temporary Closure Of Part Of The B1061 The Street, Great Bradley
Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the B1061 The Street, Great Bradley from 50 metres east of Evergreen Lane for 50 metres eastbound.
This is to facilitate a sewer connection. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be the B1052, the A1307, the A143 and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 28/10/2025 - 31/10/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).
