Temporary Traffic Management Order Of Clayton Close, Weymouth

DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 21 October 2025 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 25 October 2025. Works will be carried out between 0800hrs and 1800hrs with Sunday working from 0900hrs.

This Order will enable Dorset Council to carry out surfacing works and associated highway works.

The effect of this Order will be:

[1] To impose temporary road closure on Clayton Close for its entirety.

[2] To impose temporary clearway on Clayton Close for its entirety to prevent vehicles from stopping except those associated with the works.

Please note that any vehicle waiting in contravention of temporary parking restrictions may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986. If a vehicle has been removed, the owner must contact the Council’s vehicle recovery contractor: Ashleywood Recovery Ltd/Bride Valley Recovery Ltd on 01305 889421.

A locally signed diversion route will be put in place to enable traffic to travel around the closed sections.

Temporary Closure Of Mount Skippet Way, Crossways

DORSET COUNCIL intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 28th October 2025 and will remain in force for 18 months, however, it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 31st October 2025.

This Order will enable Dorset Council to carry out carriageway maintenance and resurfacing works.

The effect of the order is as follows:

[1] To impose temporary road closure on Mount Skippet Way, Crossways from junction with West Link Road and B3390 Warmwell Road (in both directions), a distance of approximately 440 metres. A locally signed diversion route will be put in place to enable traffic to travel around the closed section. Please note the closures will be in operation, as and when indicated by signs on site. Advanced warning signs will be placed on the road two weeks ahead of the closure to indicate the exact dates the closure will affect the roads.

[2] To impose clearway and parking suspension as indicated by signs on site to prevent waiting or parking on the highway along Mount Skippet Way, Crossways from junction with West Link Road and B3390 Warmwell Road (in both directions), a distance of approximately 440 metres. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by this Notice may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

The County of Dorset, Various Roads, Dorset – 20mph Speed Limit Orders 202*

Dorset Council proposes to make Orders under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended.

The effect of the Orders will be to introduce 20mph speed limits along sections of various roads in Briantspuddle, Bridport, Gillingham, Lyme Regis, Milborne St Andrew, Pymore, St Leonards and St Ives and Winterborne Whitechurch.

[1] To impose a temporary no right turn restriction on The Esplanade at the junction of the exit from the front Pavilion car park

An alternative vehicular route will be signed. Emergency access will be maintained.
