Greyfield Woods, Clutton - Temporary closure of section of path due to felling of trees

What is happening?

Notice is given that Bath and North East Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 has made an order the effect of which is to temporarily introduce a path closure to the section of FP CL6/40 commencing from 6388 5841 and proceeding S for approx. 415m to grid reference ST 6381 5802.
This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the right of way; namely, The Woodland Trust are proposing to fell infected larch trees (Phytophthora Ramorum) in accordance with a Statutory Plant Health Notice served on The Woodland Trust by the Foresty Commission. The Order will come into force on 24th November 2025 and will be effective until 31st December 2025. The restriction may not be in effected for the whole of the period but only for so long as is necessary to execute the works.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: FP CL6/40 – BR CL6/45 – FP CL6/4 – FP CL6/5 – FP CL6/40. Vice Versa.
