Mortimer Drive, Orleton - Temporary Road Closure due to Manhole Works

Notice of Intention
NOTICE is hereby given that Herefordshire Council, as highway authority, intend, under its relevant powers, to make the following Order:
U92627, Mortimer Drive, Orleton, Temporary Road Closure Order
to temporarily prohibit the use by vehicles on the U92627, Mortimer Drive, Orleton, Mortimer Drive. Grid Ref: 349073/267238. The alternative route for those affected by the proposal is via Kitchenhill Road onto Millbrook Way and vice versa.
The said closure is required due to manhole works and the likelihood of danger to the public whilst the works are taking place. The said closure will come into force on 13th of November 2025 and remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State) but the works are expected to be completed within 1 day.
