ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - Section 14(1) Notice of Temporary Traffic Regulation Order
Notice is hereby given that North Somerset Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, intend to make an order the effect of which:
Bridge Road, Bleadon, North Somerset Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2026 Date coming Into Force: 9 January 2026 Ref: SW25.26-176
Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.
This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Wessex Water for Section 81 repair. This order will become operative on the 9 January 2026 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 1 day in duration between 9am and 3pm. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Silver Moor Lane, Banwell, North Somerset Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2025 Date coming Into Force: 17 December 2025 Ref: SW25.26-181
Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.
This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Openreach to replace a pole. This order will become operative on the 17 December 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 6 hours in duration between 9.30am and 3.30pm. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.
This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Openreach to access underground structures in carriageway for cabling work for the new fibre build. This order will become operative on the 1 December 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 5 days in duration between 9.30am and 3.30pm. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 - Section 14 Final Notice of Temporary Traffic Regulation Order Notice is hereby given that North Somerset District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, has made the order, the effect of which:
Old Banwell Road, Locking, North Somerset Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles and Cyclists Date coming into force: 22 October 2025 Ref: T25-50
Will be to: (1) Close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in Schedule 1 of this notice. (2) Suspend, temporarily, the prohibition of entry traffic order specified in Schedule 2 of this notice.
This order was required because of carriageway surfacing works and will become operative on 22 October 2025, anticipated to be of 3 working days. The maximum period for the closures is eighteen months, however, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works.

A370 Somerset Avenue, Weston-Super-Mare, North Somerset Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles and Cyclists Date coming into force: 20 October 2025 Ref: T25-53
Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles and cyclists the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice.
This order was required because of carriageway resurfacing and pre-surface dressing patching and will become operative on 20 October 2025, anticipated to be of 10 nights, excluding weekends, between 8pm and 6am. The maximum period for the closures is eighteen months, however, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works.
Schedule - A370 Somerset Avenue (both directions) from West Wick Roundabout to Hutton Moor Roundabout. A371 Locking Moor Road from Airport roundabout in a southerly direction for approximately 250m. Moor Lane from Airport Roundabout to Longridge Way.
Alternative routes for all schedules - A370 Somerset Avenue - A370 Somerset Avenue (part unaffected), A370 Bristol Road, M5 Junction 21 Roundabout, B3440 Bristol Road, B3440 New Bristol Road, B3440 Locking Road, Francis Fox Road, A370 Hildesheim Bridge, A370 Winterstoke Road, A370 Marchfields Way, A370 Herluin Way and vice-versa.

However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 11 days in duration.
