What is happening?

HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

(Temporary Closing Of B156 Station Road, Cuffley) Order 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of B156 Station Road, Cuffley from a point 276mnorth east of its junction with B156 Northaw Road East north eastwards for a distance of approximately 100m ("the Road").

An alternative route will be via B156 Station Road, B157 (Plough Hill/East Ridgeway/The Ridgeway), Carbone Hill, Newgate Street Village, Newgate Street, Darnicle Hill, Newgatestreet Road and B156 (Cuffley Hill/Station Road).

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 30th October 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(Temporary Closing And Waiting Restrictions In Green Croft, Hatfield) Order 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Green Croft, Hatfield from its junction with Chelwood Avenue north westwards to its junction with Talbot Road, a distance of approximately 95m ("the Road"), except for access.

An alternative route will be via Chelwood Avenue, Homestead Road and Talbot Road.

ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of the Road whilst works are in progress.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 3rd November 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(Temporary Closing Of Cranborne Road, Potters Bar) Order 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Cranborne Road, Potters Bar from a point in line with the eastern boundary of 'Unit 1 Devonshire Business Centre' south westwards for a distance of approximately 98m ("the Road").

An alternative route will be via Cranborne Road.

The Order is needed because telecom works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 3rd November 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(Temporary Closing Of The Footway Situated On The East Side Of The Road Situated Behind Nos.76-106 Valley Road And The Footway Situated On The West Side Of The Road Situated Behind Nos.76-106 Valley Road, Codicote) Order 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all pedestrians from using the following lengths of footway ("the Footways"):-

1. the footway situated on the east side of the road situated behind Nos.76-106 Valley Road, Codicote from its junction with High Street south westwards and south eastwards for a distance of approximately 64m.

An alternative route will be via: the footway situated on the south side of Valley Road, Codicote Public Footways No.007A and the footway situated on the east side of Valley Road.

2. the footway situated on the west side of the road situated behind Nos.76-106 Valley Road, Codicote from its junction with High Street south eastwards and south westwards for a distance of approximately 42m.

There is no alternative route available for pedestrians when the works are being carried out. However pedestrian access to properties along this footway will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

The Order is needed because gas main works are proposed to be executed on or near the Footways.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 3rd November 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Footways.

(Temporary Closing Of The Footpath Situated On The East Side Of No.22 Mutton Lane, Potters Bar) Order 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all pedestrians from using the footpath situated on the east side of No.22 Mutton Lane, Potters Bar from its junction with Holly Drive north eastwards to its junction with Mutton Lane, a distance of approximately 68m ("the Footpath").

An alternative route will be via the footway situated on the north west side of Holly Drive, the footway situated on the north east and south east sides of Ashwood Drive and the footway situated on the south side of Mutton Lane.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Footpath.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 3rd November 2025 for a period of up to 6 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Footpath.

(Temporary Closing Of New Road, Digswell) Order 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the northbound carriageway of New Road, Digswell from its junction with Mornington south westwards for a distance of approximately 224m ("the Road").

An alternative route will be via: New Road, Harmer Green Lane, Orchard Road, Upper Green, Upper Green Road, Lower Green, School Lane, Churchfield Lane, B1000 Hertford Road, Hertford Road, Harmer Green Lane and New Road.

The Order is needed because electrical service works are proposed to be executed near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 3rd November 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(Temporary Closing And Temporary Waiting Restrictions In Various Roads In Potters Bar And Oaklands) Order 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads ("the Roads"), except for access and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:-

1. that length of Fetherstone Close, Potters Bar from its junction with Chace Avenue south eastwards and south westwards for its entire length.

There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

2. that length of The Brambles, Oaklands from its junction with Birch Grove north westwards, south westwards and north westwards for a distance of approximately 177m.

There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

3. that length of Lower Mardley Hill Service Road, Oaklands from its junction with Lower Mardley Hill south westwards and north westwards to its junction with B197 Mardley Hill, a distance of approximately 113m.

An alternative route will be via Lower Mardley Hill and B197 Mardley Hill.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 20th October 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(Temporary Closing Of Rabley Heath Road, Codicote) Order 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Rabley Heath Road, Codicote from its junction with Carriage Court south westwards, south eastwards and south westwards for a distance of approximately 493m ("the Road"), except for access.

An alternative route will be via: Rabley Heath Road, Rabley Heath, Pottersheath Road, Canonsfield Road, B197 Great North Road, B656 (Church Street/Link Road/ Codicote Road) and Rabley Heath Road.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 22nd October 2025 for a

period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(Temporary Closing And Temporary Waiting Restrictions In Hawkshead Lane, North Mymms And Bluebridge Road, Brookmans Park) Order 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads ("the Roads"), except for access and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:-

1. that length of Hawkshead Lane, North Mymms from its easternmost junction with Bluebridge Road north westwards, south westwards and north westwards for a distance of approximately 424m.

An alternative route will be via: Bluebridge Road, Bradmore Green, Station Road, Dixons Hill Road, Swanland Road and Hawkshead Lane.

2. that length of Bluebridge Road, Brookmans Park from its westernmost junction with Hawkshead Lane north eastwards for a distance of approximately 42m.

An alternative route will be via: Hawkshead Lane, Swanland Road, Dixons Hill Road, Station Road, Bradmore Green and Bluebridge Road.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 20th October 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(Temporary Closing Of Newgate Street Village, Newgate Street) Order No.2 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Newgate Street Village, Newgate Street from a point in line with the north western boundary of No.35 Newgate Street Village south eastwards for a distance of approximately 43m ("the Road"), except for access.

An alternative route will be via: Newgate Street Village, C54 (unnamed road), White Stubbs Lane, Baas Hill, Bells Lane, A1170 (High Road/Great Cambridge Road), B156 (Halfhide Lane/Brookfield Lane West), Flamstead End Road, Longfield Lane, Dig Dag Hill, Hammondstreet Road, Darnicle Hill, Newgate Street and Newgate Street Village.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 21st October 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.
