Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
On 22 October 2025 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) and (7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to:- 1. Prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of A325 Wrecclesham Road, A325 The Street and A325 Wrecclesham Hill, Farnham that extends from the junction with A31 Coxbridge Roundabout, to the junction with B3384 Echo Barn Lane. 2. Suspend the “Surrey County Council Wrecclesham Hill (A325) Wrecclesham Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025” in its entirety. This Traffic Order is required by Network Rail to enable inspections and/or repair and/or maintenance works to the “Wrecclesham Railway Bridge”, in that part of A325 Wrecclesham Road, Farnham that is crossed by the railway bridge and for a distance of 5m either side. These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 10pm and 5am within 1 night of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 29 October 2025. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, residents, businesses, pedestrians and, dismounted cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times under direction of site operatives. Alternative route:- 1. From the southern end of the closure – Echo Barn Lane, C122 Great Austins, C28 Tilford Road, B3001 Station Hill, A31 Farnham By-Pass and A325 Wrecclesham Road. 2. From the northern end of the closure – A31 Alton Road, A31 Farnham By-Pass, A31 Shepherd and Flock Roundabout, A31 Farnham By-Pass, B3001 Station Hill, C28 Tilford Road, C122 Great Austins and B3384 Echo Barn Lane.
D5524 Haste Hill, Haslemere
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2025
On 22 October 2025 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of D5524 Haste Hill, Haslemere which extends from its junction with Petworth Road to its junction with The Common. This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate carriageway surfacing and/or major maintenance works, which is anticipated to be completed as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 27 October 2025. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access for emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained when safe to do so and if necessary via the signed diversion route. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner. Alternative Route 1 – D5524 Scotland Lane, A286 Midhurst Road, A286 Shepherds Hill, A286 Lower Street, A286 High Street and B2131 Petworth Road; Alternative Route 2 – B2131 Petworth Road, A286 Lower Street, A286 Shepherds Hill, A286 Midhurst Road and D5524 Scotland Lane.
Lion Lane (D5511) Haslemere
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2025
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Lion Lane (D5511) Haslemere as extends from its junction with (A287) Hindhead Road to its junction with (D5512) Cherry Tree Avenue. Alternative Route: Lion Lane; (B2131) Lion Green, (B2131) Junction Place, (B2131) Hindhead Road, (A287) Hindhead Road, and Lion Lane, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate underground cabling works for, or on behalf of BT Openreach. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 5 days, between the hours of 9.30am and 2.30pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 17 November 2025. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will operate only when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for residents, the emergency services, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times, via the banksmen on site. All other traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route.

Public Bridleway 178 (Farnham)
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
On 30 October Surrey County Council will make the above-mentioned temporary order, the effect of which is to prohibit all traffic on foot or by any other means from entering or proceeding along that length of Public Bridleway 178 (Farnham) which extends from its junction with Public Footpath 237 (Farnham), Grid ref: 485418 143815, to its junction with Public Bridleway 67 (Farnham), Grid ref: 486003 144248.
The Order is necessary for public safety due to heavy plant movement on or near the highway. The closure will be in operation for a period of 9 days from 03 November 2025 or until completion of the works, if earlier. That period can be extended by the Secretary of State for Transport if required.
The temporary closure will only be in operation when appropriate road traffic signs are displayed on site by the County Council or an authorised person acting on its behalf. Access to properties will not be affected.
The alternative route from the northern end of the closure at Grid ref: 486003 144248: head 20m south-east along Public Bridleway 529 (Tilford), then 730m south-west along Public Bridleways 583 (Tilford) and 532 (Tilford), then 20m north-west on a track connecting Public Bridleway 532 (Tilford) and the junction of Public Footpath 237 (Farnham) and Public Bridleway 178 (Farnham) at Grid ref: 485418 143815. The alternative route from the southern end of the closure is the reverse of the above.
“The Surrey County Council Public Bridleway 178 (Farnham) Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025” will be made by the County Council under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
