What is happening?
THE EAST RIDING OF YORKSHIRE COUNCIL
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
SECTION 14 (1) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION
OF THROUGH TRAFFIC PART OF
BRECKSTREET LANE, SEATON ROSS
Notice is hereby given that East Riding of Yorkshire
Council intends not less than seven days from the date
of this notice to make an Order, the effect of which will
be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along part
of Breckstreet Lane, Seaton Ross between 08.00 hours
and 18.00 hours commencing 27 October 2025 to
allow works for Breckstreet Lane, Seaton Ross.
The road closure is necessary to enable the works to
be carried out in a manner consistent with ensuring the
safety of the public. The Order is valid for 18 months,
but it is anticipated that the works will be completed
within one day. The alternative route for traffic affected
by the road closure will be via Breckstreet Lane, Main
Road, Tanner Lane, Laytham Road, Road from Foss Dyke
to Major Bridge, Southfield Lane, South End, Church
Lane, Old Chapel Access Road, North End and
Mill Lane, Seaton Ross CP, Foggathorpe CP,
Howdenshire Ward, Wolds Weighton Ward.
The diversion route will be signed at the time of
closure. The road will be closed to all traffic but access
will be maintained for emergency vehicles.
