Algarth Road, Pocklington - Temporary Traffic Regulation

What is happening?

THE EAST RIDING OF YORKSHIRE COUNCIL
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
SECTION 14 (1) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION
OF THROUGH TRAFFIC
GARTHS END, POCKLINGTON

Notice is hereby given that East Riding of Yorkshire
Council intends not less than seven days from the
date of this notice to make an Order, the effect of
which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding
along Part of Garths End, Pocklington for a full time
road closure commencing 10 November 2025 until
24 November 2025 to allow works for replacement
of a gas main on Algarth Road, Pocklington. The road
closure is necessary to enable the works to be carried
out in a manner consistent with ensuring the safety of
the public. The Order is valid for 18 months, but it is
anticipated that the works will be completed within
15 days. The alternative route for traffic affected
by the road closure will be via Garths End, The Mile
Roundabout, The Mile, Chapmangate, George Street and
Yapham Road, Pocklington CP, Pocklington Provincial
Ward. The diversion route will be signed at the time of
closure. The road will be closed to all traffic.
